If you have a child on the spectrum I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for childcare. 2 teachers to 20 children and half the time their understaffed, multiple occasions where my non verbal child was bit with no incident report throughout his short time there. Just a couple examples.
G PApr 30, 2026I absolutely love Robin’s Nest! They were amazing with my son and were always very understanding when any situation came up. The staff were all very supportive. They made sure to send me pictures when he first started to let me know how great he was doing. My son loved going there and made a ton of friends that he still talks about to this day. I would 100% recommend anyone to send their children here! I never had to worry about my son and always knew he was safe and taken care of there! He was ahead of other kids when he switched schools and learned so much during his Robin’s Nest days! I can’t thank them enough!
Sara BeckerSep 24, 2024Fantastic Learning Environment! I cannot say enough great things about Robin's Nest Learning Center in Carterville. The staff is incredibly dedicated, nurturing, and attentive to the needs of each child. The learning activities are fun, engaging, and tailored to the children's age group, ensuring they are always excited to go to school. The facility itself is clean, well-organized, and provides a safe, warm environment that puts parents at ease. If you're looking for a learning center where your child will feel loved, supported, and intellectually stimulated, Robin's Nest is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Haley HunterSep 11, 2024I was hesitant about sending my daughter to daycare, like many mothers. She started at Robin's Nest as an infant, and now we're in our third year. I have only positive things to say about their facility. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about their students. They constantly have activities and field trips to keep the children engaged. It's challenging to balance a busy work-life as a parent and also educate your children, but Robin's Nest can help by providing comprehensive education for kids.
Rachel HunzikerSep 5, 2024Robin’s Nest has been amazing to my babygirl and she is thriving! She has been going since 12 weeks old and the staff has been wonderful. She has quickly found her “favorite” teacher in each class and they treat her like their own each morning at drop off. The directors are quick to answer any questions or take care of any concerns. My little one is learning so quickly and is well advanced for her age. We love it here!
Erica WintersSep 4, 2024My family has been part of the Robins Nest family for over 10 years now, and I couldn’t imagine having my kids at any other daycare! All of the staff treat my babies as their own, and everyone is always welcoming there. They have a lot of fun activities for the kids, & the curriculum is amazing! My kids have learned so much from there, and continue to learn from them everyday. Best daycare around here, hands down! They truly love your babies as their own there.

Questions parents ask about ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER
Is ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Illinois?
- Yes. ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER holds Illinois licence 521848, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Williamson County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.
What ages does ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER accept?
- Illinois licenses ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER for children 6 weeks to 12 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 305. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.
What languages are spoken at ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER?
- The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.
Does this page show inspection results for ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER?
- No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects ROBIN'S NEST LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
