Our son is now in his third and final year at Chicago Sinai’s preschool. I am so glad that we found and selected this school for him. He has adored the school and all of his teachers. He loves the activities, the music, and the special days. As a parent, I have loved that he feels incredibly safe and nurtured in the school. I know that if he is having a tough day or a sad moment that the teachers there truly care for him and want to be the ones to support him through it. At the same time, they are very welcoming of parent involvement; days on which parents get to be Mystery Reader and Challah Helper have made for great memories for us. They are committed to helping our son in developing himself in all facets – academically, socially, and emotionally – and allowing him to be expressive, creative, and increasingly independent. It is clear that everyone who works at Sinai love the kids and are invested in seeing them grow into slightly bigger versions of themselves prepared to take on the world of kindergarten. We are so happy that they have been the place our son has learned and grown so much over the last few years.
Tim YovankinDec 13, 2024This is a great school. The teachers are so loving and king to the children. We love the community and the small class sizes.
Tara JavidanNov 15, 2024After an extensive search of Chicago preschools, including religious, secular/private, and co-ops, we knew hands down that Sinai Preschool was the best fit for our children. The high ratio of teachers to children allows Sinai to truly be a play-based preschool. As a result, every day there is a new and creative experience filled with messy and complex arts and crafts projects, pretend play, time for exploration and building social skills. Almost immediately we saw our daughter start to mature and grow in ways we couldn't have even imagined. Additionally, their attached playground, which is unique, is a tremendous advantage, as it requires no wasted time transporting the kids to a local park. They also have a large area for the kids to do gross motor play inside when it is too wet or cold to be outside. Consequently, my daughter has just as much fun on the 'stuck inside' days as the ones where they can get out. But most importantly, my daughter loves school. She feels so safe and comfortable at Sinai, she talks about her teachers and friends constantly, and she comes home and reenacts the day's activities with her stuffed animals. The fact that her first experience with school is so overwhelmingly positive confirms that we made the right decision to send her there. We also have our younger daughter enrolled in their mom & tot program, which is likewise great. When I ask my 18 month old do you want to go to school, she grabs her shoes and heads for the door. She has so much fun in the class it is hard to get her to leave at the end of the hour, and I know it will make her transition into the drop-off class next year seamless. Seeing our kids flourish and enjoy themselves so much makes us so happy we found Sinai Preschool.
