Smart Love has been a godsend for our toddler, who has historically struggled to adjust to school and new experiences. Since the beginning, I've been so impressed with its driving philosophy, the amazing playschool teachers, and the team's thoughtful approach to caretaking and educating children. An added bonus is that they're extremely communicative -- always responsive, proactive, and conscientious. We're moving away from the area, and my one regret is that we won't be able to keep our kids at Smart Love! It has been such a positive experience for our almost 4-year-old and an important part of our time as a Logan Square family.

Karina AkibMay 18, 2026Smart Love Preschool may be the best pound for pound preschool in all of Chicago. Their child-led learning philosophy is rooted in early childhood psychology and science, and we’ve seen first-hand the positive impact it has had in helping our son become more confident and curious. The teachers genuinely care about each child, there are always multiple per classroom, and they never hesitate to get on the ground to play and engage with the kids individually. Every week, our son has a new favorite teacher and truly amazes us with all that he learns while at school. The administration also helps parents feel heard and taken care of. We briefly tried another preschool in the area for convenience but returned to Smart Love within a week when we saw how stark the difference in quality was. Even while we were out the Smart Love team was fully committed to helping us find the right fit for our son and never said no to a call for advice. Simply put, there is no place our son has more fun than at school with his friends and teachers. Because of this environment, he has developed a love of learning that is so wonderful to see. We have yet to see a turnover in the staff because of how invested teachers are in the mission and their passion comes through in the care. Smart Love is absolutely the best. Any family would be so lucky to be a part of this community :)
Sneha BhattacharyyaJan 20, 2026Our toddler has loved going to Smart Love! He has grown quite fond especially of his teacher Ella and loves hanging out with Caren and Danielle. Smart Love has helped him to explore all of his interests and develop mentally and emotionally. We appreciate the regular updates and keen attention to his development as noted during our parent-teacher conferences. Looking forward to the fall.
Leslie CacholaAug 1, 2025Smart Love is a loving and fun place for kids to get their first experience of going to school. My son started in play school at 2 and is now in preschool. He had a hard time adjusting to being apart from his dad, nanny, and me, and that was very difficult for us, but we stuck it out and we’re so glad we did. My son loves going to school and brings back all kinds of things he’s so excited to show us. At parent teacher conferences, I can tell his teachers know him so well and care deeply about him. They communicate with me often to let me know how my son is doing. Since starting at Smart Love, his interests have really expanded, and he’s much more eager to try new types of activities. Between play school, preschool, and summer camp, he’s been with most of the teachers and assistants, and they are all great. Danielle, Caren, Emma, Karen, Jennifer, and Lizzy have all been great teachers and caregivers who he will not forget.
