  • DON’T BRING YOUR KIDS HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO FEEL SAFE AND RESPECTED. My child used to attend this daycare, but I have since chosen to enroll her elsewhere. While the tuition is affordable and I appreciate that they provide services to many working and low-income families, affordability should never come at the expense of professionalism and respect. One of my biggest concerns was the front desk staff. On multiple occasions, they were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than speaking respectfully with parents, they often spoke to us as if we were children. Dropping my child off or asking simple questions frequently felt uncomfortable because of the attitude I was met with. There were also times when incidents involving my child raised concerns for me. When I asked questions, I often felt as though my concerns were brushed aside. I did not feel that issues were communicated clearly or that there was meaningful follow-up after I brought them to the staff’s attention. My child frequently cried before drop-off and was upset at pick-up. She repeatedly told me she felt that some of the staff were mean to her. As a parent, hearing that day after day was heartbreaking. I have used other daycare providers and never experienced this level of resistance or anxiety about attending. During drop-off and pick-up, I also personally observed the front desk staff talking very disrespectfully to several parents. What stood out to me was how they spoke to some African American parents. The tone and manner in which they addressed them came across as hostile, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. I also witnessed non-English-speaking parents being spoken to impatiently instead of with the courtesy every family deserves. Those interactions, combined with my own experiences, left me with a very negative impression of the daycare. Ultimately, I decided to move my child to another daycare. It costs more, but the difference in professionalism, communication, and kindness has been well worth it. My child now looks forward to going each day, and I finally feel respected as a parent. Every family deserves to feel welcomed, listened to, and treated with dignity and respect.

  • I was the delivery driver for a grocery order being delivered to this daycare, and unfortunately, it was one of the most unpleasant delivery experiences I’ve had. When I arrived, a mother with her two children had already rung the bell to be let into the building. I was directly behind her. The receptionist opened the door, the mother walked in with her children, and I simply walked in behind them. I then said, “Good morning,” and explained that I had a grocery delivery for the daycare. The delivery notes specifically asked that the boxes not be left on the floor outside and instructed drivers to ask for a cart, so I politely asked if one was available. Instead of a professional response, the receptionist immediately spoke to me rudely and also scolded the parent for “letting me in,” even though she was the one who opened the door. I explained that I was only following the delivery instructions and that parents should not be expected to police who walks through a door that staff have already opened. I was simply trying to do my job and accommodate the daycare’s request by bringing the delivery inside instead of leaving it at the entrance. The delivery consisted of more than 15 large boxes of groceries for the daycare’s meal preparation, so after loading the first cart, I needed a second one. I rang the bell again and explained that there were additional boxes. I noticed a smaller cart and asked if that was the one she wanted me to use. Instead of answering the question, she became upset and insisted that I unload everything from the first cart before taking the second one. I told her I wasn’t going to unload and reload the entire shipment and simply asked whether she wanted me to use the second cart. I loaded the remaining boxes, brought them to the front entrance, took the required delivery photo, and left the second load at the entrance. At that point, the receptionist came to the door yelling, asking why I wasn’t bringing everything inside. I explained that deliveries are made to the door. Bringing the first load inside with the cart had been a courtesy because of the delivery instructions, not a requirement. She continued yelling, demanded my name, and told me never to return. I calmly told her that my name was on the delivery record and that if she had any concerns, she could contact the delivery service’s customer support, but I would not continue a conversation while being spoken to disrespectfully. What makes this especially disappointing is that I remember this daycare from years ago when my younger sister attended. Back then, the staff were not only friendly but also professional and welcoming. It is unfortunate to see such a different atmosphere now. I understand businesses have policies and security procedures, and I always respect them. However, there is no reason to treat delivery drivers or parents with hostility. Professionalism and basic courtesy cost nothing, and based on my experience, those qualities were noticeably absent during this delivery.

  • I would not recommend this daycare based on my experience with the front office. The receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. First impressions matter, especially when you’re trusting a facility with your children. If this is how parents and prospective families are treated, it naturally raises concerns about the overall culture of the daycare. Respect, patience, and kindness should be expected from everyone representing a childcare center. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because customer service and professionalism are just as important as the care provided to the children.

  • The food pantry needs a better system for pick up. I have been coming for years now. It's been some months now since I had last came maybe summer of 2024. I'm now back in January 2025 and I have been sitting in my car for a hour waiting to pick up groceries. The two men directing the traffic in the parking lot have been given bad directions or just do not know what they are doing. If they out here directing they might as well should have stuck to the pull up and load system. This is just terrible. So after sitting in the vehicle for a hour they tell you to get out your car to go in and get the groceries now. Must be new management.
