We love The Learning Hills. We’ve been with them since 2022 and my oldest has cycled through every room at this point. The teachers and staff are amazing. My kids love going and it gives us a peace of mind knowing they are safe and in good hands. Highly recommend!
Callie SJul 7, 2026Our family has had a wonderful experience at The Learning Hills Childcare Center. As a parent of a school-age child, it’s such a relief knowing my child is in a safe, caring, and engaging environment before and after school. The staff genuinely care about the children and always greet them with kindness and enthusiasm. My child enjoys the activities, has made great friendships, and comes home happy every day. Communication with parents has also been excellent, and I always feel informed about what’s going on. I truly appreciate the positive atmosphere and the dedication the teachers and staff show every day. If you’re looking for a childcare center where your child will be well cared for and enjoy their time, I highly recommend The Learning Hills Childcare Center!
Paul PaquetteJul 6, 2026My experience here was absolutely horrible. I truthfully dont understand the current rating they have. At first things were pretty good. The staff themselves were great no complaints however the owner is a different story. Upon starting I had chose to do a bi-weekly pay schedule. The center sets up an auto withdraw, and it first I didn't like not having the control but figured if it was every 2 weeks I could work around it. On multiple occasions the owner would withdraw the whole month at once. We had MULTIPLE conversations about how I needed the bi weekly setup due to my pay schedule. The last incident resulted in my account going negative. I had tried to speak to the owner Kiran about the matter but she refused to reach out. I received no apologies, no communications whatsoever. There is so much mistreatment to the families and staff. I wouldn't recommend this center to any family. We have returned to kindercare and absolutely no regrets. If I could rate this place a 0 I would. Please educate yourselfs in the proper treatment of the families you have with you and to your staff.
Iris NanstielJul 1, 2026Our family has had such a wonderful experience with Learning Hills Daycare. My son was one of the very first students enrolled when they opened, and he has stayed there all the way through Pre-K. Throughout the years, the staff has always been kind, caring, and supportive. They truly treat the children like family and have taken such great care of my son. It has been amazing to watch him grow, learn, and thrive in such a positive environment. We are so grateful for everything they have done for our family and would absolutely recommend their program to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy daycare. ~Laura Crane
Laura CraneMay 20, 2026I can't express how amazing this daycare is! I recommend it every time someone asks me if I know of an amazing daycare. My 18-month-old son loves his teachers and his friends! There are so many activities every day, and they are all super involved with developing the children. Thank you, Learning Hills Staff!!!
Lora VormittagMar 4, 20252 mo ago I transfer my daughters to The Learning Hills and I am so pleased with everything! My girls love it and they love the staff! I’m impressed with the variety of activities and crafts, the food is so much better than most places, there is actually someone in the kitchen toasting, baking, broiling, cutting fresh fruit (not just some thaw mushy food in a ziploc)! They have good, solid learning structure for preschool! The children actually use paper and pencil to learn letters and numbers and they even get a fun homework every week that they will enjoy doing it. The app keeps you updated during the day and I enjoy getting pictures of my girls and the crafts they make. I highly recommend this place and big thanks to the amazing team at The Learning Hills for taking such a good care of our kids!

Questions parents ask about THE LEARNING HILLS
Is THE LEARNING HILLS a licensed child care provider in Illinois?
- Yes. THE LEARNING HILLS holds Illinois licence 601027, listed as "License issued (IL)" by the Department of Children and Family Services, licensed as a day care center in Mchenry County. Confirm current standing at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov before enrolling.
What ages does THE LEARNING HILLS accept?
- Illinois licenses THE LEARNING HILLS for children 6 weeks to 12 years during the day, with a licensed day capacity of 103. The span is what the licence permits, not a statement of which ages have places free.
What languages are spoken at THE LEARNING HILLS?
- The licence record lists English. That is what the provider reported to the state, not a guarantee that a speaker is on site at every hour.
Does this page show inspection results for THE LEARNING HILLS?
- No. Illinois publishes monitoring and licensing reports going back to 2010 through Sunshine at sunshine.dcfs.illinois.gov. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects THE LEARNING HILLS's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the monitoring record.
