  We can’t say enough wonderful things about this daycare. Our daughter spent her early years here, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made as parents. She absolutely loved her teachers, adored her classmates, and came home every day having learned something new — songs, words, skills we didn’t even know she was working on. Her Spanish language skills are truly remarkable. The teachers are what make this place so special. Their warmth, patience, and genuine engagement with every child is remarkable. As working parents, there is no greater gift than dropping your child off in the morning knowing she is in loving, capable hands. This daycare gave us that peace of mind every single day. Our family is moving on, and we will genuinely miss this community — the teachers, the kids, all of it. The parent network is fantastic and always made us feel right at home. If you’re considering this daycare for your child, do it. You won’t regret it. Thank you for everything!

  Our son Benji has been with Tierra Encantada since he was 12 months old. As a first time mother my worries were set aside with updates/pictures on his first day. It eased my mind and I felt like I was in the classroom with him. Cintya (Director) has been with the facility since we started back in 2023 and the amazing updates and changes by this leader has only gotten better and better. We have apps to check in on our little ones and the curriculum is very engaging. We didn’t even know that our son could free write his letters! He loves Spanish songs and dances. If we ever have another baby, we would not hesitate to go back to Tierra Encantada. The teachers do more than just teach, they show me that they truly love all the littles in their classrooms. My son will hug a teacher “goodbye” and that lets me know they treat him with kindness, respect and love.

  Our son has been here over a year since he was only 3 months old. All the teachers are very caring and attentive. I love that they offer interactive crafting activities, healthy food and cloth diapers. The indoor gym is amazing!

  We loved Tierra Encantada! It really breaks my heart that my daughter has to start school elsewhere. I toured all the bilingual daycares around northwest Chicagoland, and this is the best one. The teachers really care for and love the kids, everything is clean, and the student to teacher ratio is below the requirements (so more one on one time with my kid). They make their food onsite, have an open door policy, they are extremely responsive, and have an awesome indoor playground during the winter. My daughter has learned how to empathize, be confident, trace shapes and letters, play with others and share. Honestly, I would enroll myself here and hangout for 7 hours a day—that’s my standard for a good daycare! Muchísimas gracias Tierra—we will miss you 💕

  My daughter is a little over 2 years old and has been at Tierra since she was only 3 months old. It is truly her home away from home. Over the course of these 2 years and 3 classrooms I’ve witnessed each teacher she’s had treat her and each child at the center with so much love and respect. The food prepared on site is also always delicious and nutritious and the curriculum is really amazing. My daughter can speak, understand, and sing in Spanish and her flourishing bilingualism really makes me so proud and happy. Not being a native speaker myself it would have been really difficult if not impossible for me and her dad to give her this gift of bilingualism without Tierra Encantada. It truly takes a village to raise a child and I’m so happy we found this gem of a daycare/preschool in Old Irving Park.

  Tierra is great. Our daughter is happy, healthy and loves her teachers. she's genuinely happy to go to daycare (most mornings!). sometimes the admin can feel a little loose. the tablet for sign in is frequently out of batteries or off somewhere for charging, the paper sign in sheets are sometimes slow to arrive on Mondays and the recent shift from 6:00pm to 5:30pm for pickup was disappointing. all in all we are very happy here!
