Today was our last day at Wonder Joy Academy, and it’s honestly a bittersweet moment for our family. Both of our boys started here when they were about six months old—now one is almost 4 and the other is almost 2. It’s crazy to think how much of their early life has been spent here, and how big of a role this place has played in it. From day one, the teachers and staff have been nothing short of amazing. They didn’t just take care of our kids—they really got to know them, care about them, and treat them like their own. As parents, that kind of trust and peace of mind is everything, and Wonder Joy gave us that every single day. They were always understanding, patient, and willing to work with us. That meant more than we can really put into words. And Jill, the director—she’s just incredible. Always kind, always helpful, and you can tell how much she genuinely cares about the families there. We’re only leaving because our situation has changed and we had to find something closer to home, but this was not an easy goodbye at all. Any parent would be lucky to have their kids here. We’re so grateful for everything you’ve done for our boys. Thank you for being such a big part of their lives.
Austin CookApr 30, 2026Ah! I have been impressed with WonderJoy in Belvidere since my first call to the center. Firstly, their director, Jill, is INCREDIBLE! She truly cares about the kiddos and families that show up every day. It is obvious as well that her staff just adores her. Secondly, I have to say the same for the teachers! They truly make you feel comfortable and safe as they teach your kiddos to grow into themselves and to become autonomous little humans. I have one child at Wonderjoy (currently 2 and a half) and he has been going there since he was 3 months old. The education they have given him (and us) has truly exceeded my expectations from every standpoint. I am currently in the middle of moving 25 minutes west of Belvidere and I am still choosing to bring my son to WonderJoy via commute, because they are like his second family. I can't imagine my son not attending this center. Thank you, WonderJoy! You have truly made a positive difference in our lives.
Nick HuftalinOct 21, 2025My kids have been at WJA for 5 years. My oldest started as an infant during COVID and just aged out. My youngest was there for 3 years and only left because I stopped working. We love it here! The staff is all so friendly and caring The teachers are playful and fun. They actually interact with the kiddos at there level. They do a great job teaching them new things as well! Miss Penny the cook is fantastic and I always here how awesome her food is! Miss Jill has done a fantastic job of keeping the center fun, clean, and a safe environment for the kids. I've never questioned their safety at daycare. My kids always loved going and seeing their friends and teachers! We will miss seeing everybody. Thank you WJA for being so amazing with my kiddos🩷
Lexi ShearerAug 30, 2025For the past three years my grandson has been attending Wonder Joy Academy and we have had a truly amazing experience from start to end. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and communicative with families. Next week is my grandson’s last day and it is very bittersweet because of how much he has enjoyed his time there. We have loved watching first hand the growth my grandson has experienced. He has learned so much!
Lucy MercadoAug 14, 2025The staff here is wonderful. They have become family. My son has been there since he was 15 months and he just turned 5. They do so much with the kids and for the families. They work with you if there are tough times. I’m sad that next week is our last but only because he starts kindergarten.
Connie ZyerAug 13, 2025My niece went to Wonder Joy until she started kindergarten last year and my nephew goes there now. It is a great facility and they take great care of the kiddos and have a lot of fun activities and educational learning things that they do with them. Highly recommend them.
