Shannon’s Exclusive Child Care at Geist has exceeded our expectations in every way. What stands out most is the people. From the teachers to the front office, everyone seems to know every child’s name. It creates a welcoming environment where you know your child isn’t just another face in the classroom. Amy does an incredible job as director. You can tell she genuinely cares about both the children and the staff. She has created an environment where parents feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door. You can also see the pride of ownership throughout the facility. Mr. Hege is constantly working behind the scenes to keep the building safe, clean, and well maintained. It’s reassuring to know the owners are so invested in providing the best possible environment for the children. Most importantly, our children are excited to go every morning and come home happy, talking about everything they learned and experienced that day. We truly can’t say enough good things about Shannons. If you’re looking for a place where your child will cared for by people who treat them like family, this is it. We are incredibly grateful to be part of the Shannon’s family.

I highly recommend this childcare center to any parent looking for a place where you can go to work with complete peace of mind. That feeling is absolutely priceless. We love Shannon’s.
beautyby daishraFeb 9, 2026We recently placed our 12 week old at SECC at Geist. We are new parents, and of course, had our reservations about daycare in general. SECC has simply been amazing and has set the bar high for daycares in our minds. Her teachers and the admin are extremely responsive through their app. We receive frequent updates and pictures throughout the day, so we always know how she is doing. You can just tell that the teachers genuinely love these children and are invested in them. We have been so happy with SECC and would recommend them to anyone searching for quality childcare. If you live in the McCordsville or Geist area and also work downtown, SECC is about a 35 minute drive from downtown which is really manageable. SECC has been a great find for our daughter--highly recommend!

They created a great environment where my kids were able to grow and thrive. My kids were always excited to come in and see their teachers. Unfortunately, we had to move but I would highly recommend anyone in the area to consider bringing their kids there.

The owners, teachers and staff have treated our family with love, support and kindness from the beginning. We don't have many family members in the area, and their team has become a part of our "village." Our son loves his teachers and classmates, and we know he is receiving the best care.
Claire Hatton NielsenMay 16, 2024Our son has really thrived at Shannon’s. They do so many activities throughout the day, and he seems to really enjoy all the variety. They have a really cool in door gym for days when the weather is bad and they can’t play in the outdoor play ground. He has needed some therapy for being delayed with some of his milestones and they welcome his speech and occupational therapist (who also give glowing reviews of the staff and facility). All the staff know him by name, and I love watching his big smile/excitement when we arrive. They are attentive to his needs and very responsive to messages/communications. They really focus on each child’s individual development and needs. I am so happy to have found a local, family run facility that provides excellent care.
