STEAM Academy West Lafayette

We have been attending STEAM since 2021. Our son is in the 4/5 year old room. He has always loved his teachers and going to learn. They are preparing him for kindergarten by teaching: writing, math, and history. Our daughter is almost 2 and you can see such a development since advancing rooms in August. The front desk always greets us with a friendly smile. Our children feel comfortable walking around the facility. Over the years we have noticed some teachers are better than others at updating the Procare app. If there has been any concerns the teachers bring them up with you. Overall our kids are happy to show up and learn every day!

Steam is a wonderful facility! My son appears to be happy when I drop him off and pick him up! Ms. Becky has been his main teacher the majority of his time there, and boy does he love Ms. Becky! Brianda has also done an amazing job as interim director!

My son attended Steam Academy for approximately seven months. Initially, his first teachers were exceptional. However, when he was transferred to his second room, the organization was severely lacking. I never had the opportunity to witness them teaching or learning. His diaper rash worsened, and I was never greeted by the front desk ladies or his teacher. Additionally, I was not informed about his day. Upon arriving home, he would be in a state of complete disarray. When I picked him up, his teacher was absent, and I was only met with other ladies who failed to introduce themselves. The room was in a state of utter disarray, with toys and food strewn everywhere, reeking of dirty diapers that were being discarded in the pail. I strongly advise against recommending Steam Academy to anyone, as they lack even basic certification.

Everyone at STEAM Academy has been amazing! Mindy at the front desk, Cristy the director, assistant director Ms Brianda, Miss Angel, Ms Amy, all of the ladies that assist during the day. Wow! I trust everyone there with my little one. I am grateful every single day for everything they do. There have been times when my kiddo is sick, and they check in on him. There have been days where my kiddo is having a rough day, and I say "handle with care" and no questions are asked. I had a career change, and everyone was cheering me on through my testing. The positive energy there is beautiful. The prayers are appreciated! It takes a village to raise a child, and I am so happy with Steam Academy.

My daughter loves STEAM for daycare. She absolutely loves her teacher as well. I enjoy the app for updates and pictures throughout the day. She has learned so much in the few months she's been there and it's clear the teachers really care for her. They always let me know if they think something may be going on (like one time she had an ear infection). And they celebrate her wins like when she started walking they were just as excited as we were!
