  • Dr. Mommy C and her staff have cared for our son since he was 3 months old. The staff and team is exceptional. They took what is a very scary and uncomfortable experience in some places and made it frictionless and beneficial for us and our son. We noticed him progressing in motor skills and play almost immediately from the level of attention they were giving him every day. He came home every day tired from all the fun activities they keep them busy with. And we got daily written reports of what he did, when he napped, when he ate, etc. The facility is very secure and believe me as a protective parent, they set my mind at ease and I never worried about him while he was in the care of TFP. We toured a bunch of daycares and no one does it like them. You might think it’s a little pricier than other places, but you can’t assign a dollar value to peace of mind. After the first week my wife and I never ever discussed the price again because it was so obviously worth it. If I could, I’d give them 10 stars. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

  • We love the family place!! After scrambling looking for child care for our newborn, we found the family place right in our backyard! The staff is always warm and very communicative about the needs of our son. I love the daily reports and knowing that he is well loved and taken care of during the day.

  • As a first-time mom, I was incredibly nervous about sending my 9-month-old daughter to daycare. Letting go of your baby every day is hard, and my biggest fear was that she wouldn’t feel loved, cared for, or secure—that she might feel like I had left her somewhere she didn’t belong. Those fears were quickly put to rest with The Family Place Carmel. From the very beginning, the teachers have been so warm, attentive, and genuinely loving. My daughter is all smiles at both drop-off and pick-up, which says everything. She even waves hello and goodbye to her teacher each day—it’s clear she feels safe and happy there. One of my favorite things is the private Facebook group, where they regularly post pictures and videos. Being able to check in throughout the day and see her engaged and smiling brings so much peace of mind. On top of that, the daily report is incredibly detailed—I know exactly how her day went almost down to the half hour, which I really appreciate. What stands out most is how engaged the kids are. They’re not just sitting around or doing the same activities all day. The teachers incorporate art, music, science, reading, exercise, and social time—it truly feels like a thoughtful, enriching environment even for infants. I also love that the class sizes are smaller, which means my daughter gets meaningful one-on-one attention. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, and I know she’s being seen and cared for as an individual. I feel so lucky we found The Family Place Carmel. I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for a loving, engaging, and safe place for their child.

  • I chose this daycare because the location was convenient for my family, but overall I had to make several compromises while my children attended. From what I could see through the photos and videos posted in a Facebook group, the teachers seemed caring and engaged with the kids. However, communication was a major concern. The daycare does not use an app or system for real-time updates, so there is no direct communication with teachers throughout the day. Phone calls often go unanswered, and emails typically receive a response 24–48 hours later, which can be frustrating when timely communication is important. Drop-off and pick-up were also inconvenient. Parents are required to text 10 minutes before arrival, but even then, there is usually an additional wait of 5–10 minutes at the door. Parents are not allowed inside, and there are no cameras, which made the environment feel very closed off and isolating. There were multiple instances where my children came home with scratches or injuries, including a busted lip, without any explanation provided. In one case, my toddler told me he witnessed his sister fall and get hurt. When I brought up concerns, the responses felt cold and lacked understanding of how difficult it is to trust others with your children—especially without consistent communication or transparency. Another major issue was pricing. There does not appear to be a set or consistent rate for care. Instead, pricing seems to be based on what you previously paid elsewhere or what your stated budget is. I experienced being overcharged for multiple items, and my total payments ended up being far more than what the care was worth. Billing was also inconsistent, as the director handled payments independently and changed systems multiple times within a six-month period, which made things even more confusing. The daycare is rated at a Level 2 and does not have a playground, which was another drawback. There were also logistical challenges, such as not having a fax machine available, which made obtaining my children’s medical records more difficult with my work schedule. While the location is a strong benefit and the teachers appeared kind, the lack of communication, transparency, consistency, and clear pricing made this experience frustrating. In my opinion, families may be better off considering a more structured or franchise daycare, where policies, pricing, and communication tend to be more consistent and reliable—especially for working parents who already have limited flexibility.

  • Our infant son recently started at The Family Place in Carmel and we couldn’t be happier! Finding great hands to put our 10 week old in was overwhelming to say the least, but my husband and I walked into TFP and immediately knew this was the place for our baby boy (We even canceled the other daycare tours we planned for that day). You can immediately feel the passion Dr. Mommy C has for children and her philosophy for childcare is what truly won us over. She has an incredible team and they keep the babies stimulated with activities and exercises all day. At the end of the first day, our baby was down to waking up only once a night. By day 3, our baby finally slept through the entire night! It was like a miracle. I love the daily sheet we get at the end of each day that shows everything they did and worked on. And the Facebook group for parents is amazing, I love getting the pictures of our baby throughout the day. I can’t recommend TFP, Dr. Mommy C and her amazing team enough! Very relieved and excited to know when we have baby #3, we have an amazing place for them too!

  • Our daughter has only been attending The Family Place in Carmel, IN for about 2 months now and this has honestly been the best childcare for her! From the convenience and efficiency of drop off and pick up to the amazing reports I get for her every week, I love that The Family Place truly cares about her progress and they ensure that I know about her progress as well! I also love that they have a parent page on Facebook for us all to view pictures and videos of our little babies while they’re away from us all day! :) I’m so happy that we’ve made the decision to choose The Family Place for our baby girl!!
