  Our family first started coming here with a few understandings. The first was that the price would gradually decrease as our child grew older, second that they could and would provide early development education and kindergarten prep, and that we could count on a consistent environment where our child felt safe. Unfortunately all 3 of these things turned out to not be the case. For 3 years every time we saw a price decrease with age and developmental milestones it was offset by an overall price increase, at least once a year, there had been minimal to no early development education or kindergarten prep, and the turnover has gotten soo bad that we hardly recognize the staff from one week to another at times making us very uncomfortable not knowing who our child was around. Despite the tuition being higher than average the constant requirements of additional supplies, fundraising or even paying for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day events seems a bit inappropriate. The communication in regards to the closing of the south location as well as the opening of the nest was minimal and left us very uncomfortable since multiple families had been left with with 24 hours or less to fully rearrange their child care situation. This paired with the fact that multiple staff have confirmed that this information was intentionally withheld from parents, and class sizes were effectively doubled in the north location without the ability to keep staff on board leaves this facility in a constant state of reaction. I cannot recommend this institution as it is currently being run

  Our kids love Open Minds. We love Open Minds, especially because I have peace of mind knowing my kids are in capable and loving hands every day. The curriculum is top notch, the updates (multiple times a day) are so appreciated, and there is no drama. So glad we found Open Minds.

  Open Minds has been a wonderful place for our family. We have put one child through and have another currently enrolled. We are very thankful for Open Minds, not just because they are close to our home, but because they care so much about our children. They are a great asset to the Olathe community and will no doubt be around for years to come because they provide outstanding care for the thing we as parents care about the most: our children.

  We absolutely love this daycare!! We started sending our daughter when she was 12 weeks old, and I was so nervous/anxious to take her for the first time, but Open Minds made it very easy for me. Now she is all smiles when we pull up and runs through the doors to get inside. They are truly focused on helping your child meet their milestones. My daughter has learned and developed so much there that I feel bad keeping her home some days because I know she’s missing out on great things! The entire staff is very friendly, the facility is clean, and the whole program is just remarkable! It’s definitely worth every penny!

  Choosing Open Minds to care for and educate our son has been the best decision! The teachers and staff are amazing and professional and truly care about the kids. Especially through Covid the extra steps taken to ensure safety is comforting while also finding ways to keep parent involvement and ‘normalcy’. I’d recommend to any friend or family member - finding Open Minds was a gem!
