  We initially had a positive experience with this daycare, which is why we ultimately enrolled our second daughter as well. Unfortunately, the quality of care and overall operation has declined significantly over time. One of the biggest concerns is the leadership. Since the change in director, the center has become increasingly disorganized and unprofessional. Communication is inconsistent, concerns are not handled appropriately, and there appears to be little accountability when issues arise. Incident reporting is another major problem. Important events involving children are not always communicated promptly or thoroughly to parents, leaving us with concerns about transparency and child safety. There also seems to be a lack of adequate supervision, as incidents occur that should have been prevented or at least properly documented and communicated. Academically and developmentally, there appears to be very little structure or curriculum in place. Activities often seem unplanned, and there is little evidence of a consistent educational approach. For a childcare center, we expected more engagement, organization, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. Staff turnover has also become a significant issue. Many of the teachers we initially trusted and appreciated have left, and classrooms frequently seem to have rotating staff. This lack of consistency makes it difficult for children to build relationships with caregivers and creates an unstable environment. Overall, this daycare is not the same center it once was. While our experience was positive enough initially to enroll a second child, the decline in leadership, supervision, communication, and staffing has made it difficult to recommend. We hope management takes meaningful steps to address these issues and improve the quality of care provided to families.

  My daughter has been going to La Petite for about a year and a half. She loves her teachers and they love her and she is genuinely excited to go to school. The cameras and updates give me peace of mind when I check in throughout the day. The staff is well-versed in developmental norms and helped us through milestones (big and small) as first time parents based on their observations from spending the day with her

  Three of my children (my youngest since 10 weeks and is now about to celebrate 2yo, my middle went to preschool, and my older daughter had her summer breaks here) have had the pleasure of experiencing La petite. My family has had nothing but positive experiences. Being able to check in ANYTIME UNLIMITED on any classroom the kids are in was ultimate peace of mind for me and my husband. The kids are always engaged in all classrooms and not just stuck in front of screens. The meals given are always healthy and varied, and age appropriate. The resources are unmatched at this facility. They offer screenings periodically by pediatricians if there are concerns and also partner with extracurricular activities such as soccer and dance programs. Lastly, the preschool, outstanding program. My middle daughter was beyond prepared to enter kindergarten and I could tell it was more her pace to be in la petite vs half days at public preschool. I’d make that choice all over again. I could brag about all the teachers each of my kids have been cared by. Very thankful for La Petite Palomar 💞
