I sent my son to Brighter Horizons 38 years ago. The care he received was exemplary. He was nurtured, happy and thrived the entire time he attended. I never had 1 complaint. He never showed any signs that he was anything but happy there. Now my son and daughter-in-law have had their own 3 children at Brighter Horizons growing up. It is just like he remembers. My grandchildren are happy, nurtured and they are all thriving, plus they love it there. Every time I pick them up I see the same happiness and trust in their eyes that I saw 38 years ago with my son. There truly are not many places, that you trust your children with, that you can say that about any more. Melanie started something amazing and it's carried through with the next generation. 🩷💜🩵
Nannette B. ArceneauxAug 6, 2026I went to this daycare when I was a child and now my children attend this daycare. These days we must be careful who we leave our children with, with that being said I feel as ease with my children here, in the care of wonderful teachers. I personally know the owner Ms Mel, she and her teachers care about the wellbeing of the children and they take every opportunity to help them thrive. Bottom line, our children are learning, creating, playing, developing, loved, and they are very well prepared for school when they move on. The best part is they are happy to go to daycare daily and look forward to going for summer camp.
Joe LedetAug 6, 20265/5 Stars – Absolutely priceless peace of mind! If more than 5 stars was an option, I'd give it ! We have been part of the Brighter Horizons family for almost 5 years now with our three children, and I cannot say enough good things about this facility. Leaving your kids in someone else’s care can be nerve-wracking, but in half a decade, I have never once worried about my children when dropping them off. That kind of complete trust is priceless. The staff goes above and beyond every single day. They do so many hands-on crafts and activities, and they even laminate their take-home projects so these sweet little keepsakes stay in perfect condition forever—a small detail that means the world to parents! Beyond the incredible care and love they give, my kids have learned so much during their time here. Brighter Horizons has truly felt like an extension of our family, and I am already genuinely sad for the day our kids finally outgrow it. If you are looking for a daycare where your children will be safe, cherished, and thriving, this is hands down the best place to be!
Stacey LedetJul 28, 2026hi my daughter also went here. I live all the way out in Atlanta and I got word that she was disenrolled for… I am not sure what reasons. But don’t waste your money. The mother of my child try to explain her behalf on what was going on at the time of a rude remark being made to a two-year-old my daughter. The owner obviously played devils advocate and took sides with the worker who made the rude remark. I’m very disappointed to hear that they would easily discard my daughter after a rude remark, was made to her face and her mother in front of another parent. Not even a second thought about how that might be embarrassing to the two of them. I’m waiting for my refund and we will be moving on from daycare is like this. I’m very disappointed because early that day that my child’s mother was going to get a gift for her teacher for her birthday and which she did and this is how she was treated afterwards. What it sounds like to me is that a lot of these women do cater to mess and have no empathy towards kids. Update they have yet to send us our refund and instead Begin gossiping about us is what another parent told us. I highly advised you do not get involved with these people. They don’t mean well at all. this is in fact how they treat only people of color. Do you see how the rest of the reviews are from white people only five star. we are family of color and this is how they treat you as a person of color.
Tru WilliamsonJul 27, 2026We loved our teacher very dearly unfortunately one of the staff members made a very rude remark to my daughter as we were walking out that had me and another parent shocked. Something along the lines of ew your face is green blow your nose mind you my daughter is only 2. She then continued to walk to her car and drive away in her Kia Rio, which was the color white. Without wiping my child’s face. Which was totally fine because I was going to do that myself. When I reported this to the head of the school, I let them know that I had a low tolerance for bullying and a very low tolerance for mess. Melanie Holloway then responded that she was disappointed in my reaction as a grown adult that had me absolutely laughing on my behind. I did not hesitate to let her know that she was wrong and her response was lazy and it had me absolutely disgusted. no apology was made instead she said I apologize that you feel that way. That is not a real apology. I don’t partake in gossip culture and I surely am so glad that these people disenrolled my daughter after I explain my frustration. They are not the type of people to not try to understand you as a person or a parent. There was a very weird energy, every single time walking in there. It was very taxing every morning. What was the unhealthy feeling? I would always feel while dropping my daughter off. I personally have no issue advocating for my daughter. I have no issue going to Trinity Episcopal like my first choice was. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. She was very dismissive with my feelings, and my thoughts didn’t even try to make amends. Thank God but I will be filing a report with the Louisiana schooling system, most definitely. if you enroll your kid here you most definitely are going to need a legal advice for guidance. Because it’s a private Institute I guess there’s a lot of things they can get away with. also please review the packet because there’s a lot of hidden things in there that could put your kid at risk. a.k.a. The policy about biting.
