What a gift CDS has been to our family. Both of our girls have been loved and cared for by everyone on the CDS Silverside staff for years. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Chelsey Laborde BlankenshipJul 19, 2026My son has gone to Country Day since he was 6 months old in the infant room—he has since moved up as a toddler and I can truly say CDS has been his family since the very first day. EVERY teacher (whether they’ve had my son yet or not) is so friendly, knows his name, and is genuinely happy to see him every day. The environment is so enriching and thoughtfully organized (definitely closer to old school—no TVs, very basic computers for the older kiddos, bright, colorful, and CLEAN). My baby has been nurtured at this school and I’m so thankful to be part of the CDS family.

He started another daycare at 6 months old but we pulled him out at 9 months old to stay home until something else opened up. We were on the wait list at Country Day but toured several daycares in the area. At the end of the day, we agreed wholeheartedly that CDS felt like home and we should make things at home work until a spot was open. When he hit 18 months old his spot was available! We saw immediate growth once he started. Country Day keeps them engaged and curious. They aren't just babysitting. The teachers are so genuinely invested in the well being of these children. It feels like my early 90's preschool. The decor is not overstimulating. He loves going to school. He asks for it. He misses Miss Abby and his friends over holidays. He's been there 6 months and I don't think he's ever had a "bad day". Country Day is special.
Cody EdwardsJan 29, 2026Can't say enough great things about CDS Silverside. The directors, Brooke and Courtney, are phenomenal! Both extremely responsive and very attentive. The school is very well run with great communication and lots of cute activities. There has been very little turnover with staff in our years at this location, which is hard to find in a daycare. Each teacher knows our children well and goes above and beyond!

There is very low teacher turnover in the 2 years since we have been with the school. There is great family involvement in the school and management is very responsive and informative.
