  I was in the process of moving back to Lafayette with my two and one year old and was searching for daycare. Moving across the country is daunting in and of itself, never mind trying to find the right childcare for your kids in such formative years. I looked over dozens of facilities prior to moving and gave them calls. Everyone said the right things on the phone but after physically arriving in Lafayette and touring those places, I knew in my gut that they weren’t for me or my children. I kept mentally coming back to Little Light of Mine, a center I had initially been interested in online but hesitant because I didn’t know too much about Montessori / it was a newer center. We ended up giving them a call and getting a tour that same day. By the end of the tour, I was filling out the paperwork for my two kids to start ASAP. Despite it being end of day, Chrystal and Dillon Really took their time answering all of our questions, making sure that we felt heard and understood, and immediately loved our babies. Everything just felt right. We’ve done a few other daycares in the past, It was always a hard transition for my kids. My eldest is particularly sensitive and transitions, even from classroom to classroom in his daycare, would leave him crying at drop off. When I tell you he adjusted to this center within ONE day — there have been no tears since day one. This is only attributable to the caring and loving environment that they create for these kids. I feel like both of my children are cared for, loved, and challenged intellectually every day. I would highly recommend this daycare for anyone looking for excellent quality childcare. They always lead with professionalism, love, and genuine passion for kids. TLDR: If you are looking for childcare, this is it. Even if you aren’t a Christian & even if you aren’t fully well versed on Montessori approach, like I was. Just give them a call and schedule the tour. You will see LLOM’s magic!

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If happiness had a drop-off line, this would be it. From the moment we toured, I knew this was our place—and my son confirms it every single day by sprinting inside like he’s late for the best party ever. The Montessori style has been incredible for him: he’s learning real life skills, building independence, and growing so much academically and emotionally. His language delay is improving daily, which feels nothing short of a miracle. 🥹 He feels safe here. He adores every staff member (talks about them nonstop), is making so many friends, and comes home happy, confident, and proud of himself. The food they serve? Amazing. The drop-off and pick-up times? A parent’s dream. They spend so much time outside learning and playing, and you can truly feel God’s hand over this place—it’s warm, intentional, and full of love. Most importantly: my son can’t wait to go to school every day. He wakes up excited to see his teachers, learn new things, and just be there. Watching him thrive here has been one of the greatest joys of my life. We are endlessly grateful. 💛
