  Our son and our daughter both attended Southside from the time they were a few months old, so we have six years total experience with this facility. I have nothing but good things to say. The director is awesome! And there are several employees that were there the entire time our kids attended. All of these Long-term employees are special to our kids and us. I don't think we have ever had a serious issue there. But anytime I brought anything to the Director's attention. It was taken seriously and handled with care. I highly recommend this facility from birth to preschool.

  I really wish I could get this place higher than a five star rating. My son has been going to this daycare since he was six weeks old and I can’t imagine us anywhere else. As a first time parent, it was terrifying leaving my infant with strangers. While it was in an adjustment at first for me, my son seemed to immediately get on a great schedule. There are many teachers here that have become family. There has been one instance where I had a concern and brought it to the Director. This concern was immediately taken seriously, and it was taken care of before he returned the next day. This is one of the many examples of how well the center is run as well how parents concerns are addressed appropriately. The food prepared is great, Spanish lessons are well received by the students, there are multiple extracurricular activities that you can opt in for and great lesson plans. I’m so grateful that this was our first and only daycare experience as I know not many families get lucky. My child loves going to daycare and we look forward to many more years at Southside.

  I attended Southside 26 years ago and was so excited when I moved back to Baton Rouge last year and had the opportunity to send my own son there! The new owners, as well as the incredible staff, have made my sons experience so great, which in turn is the best thing I could ask for as a parent. The new director has been great at communicating and making parents feel heard and included in their child’s care. I love that the class sizes are small, as well so I know my child is always being well looked after and attended too. Oh and not to mention, the chef at the school is phenomenal, we absolutely love the school meal fundraisers! He is a much better chef than I, and so my husband and son love when I bring home some of the chef’s plate dinners! That’s a #wifewin and a #momwin

  I can not say enough good things about this daycare. The teachers are wonderful and really care about the children that they take care of. My 2 year old attended until she went to PREK and I just enrolled my 1 year old. She's in a different class and I am just as happy. I dont' worry when I leave her and that's important. The center is clean and secure. The Chef is also amazing and my 2 year old would complain that my food was "yucky" compared to his. I liked the previous owner and the new owner seems really nice. My only complaint was the way we were notified about certain things via Facebook and I think the new owner will be changing that. Again, overall this is a great place to send your little ones.

  South side is a great daycare for children. EVERY child needs are met and they’re learning every min of the day when being there except during nap time. The teachers are remarkable and the children are lovable. Holidays at south side are ALWAYS family oriented. The chef make sure every child has enough food to eat and the workers and he also prepare food and snack in a timely manner. No complaints about the teachers and chef. HOWEVER, the Owner/Director is rude and mean‼️ She doesn’t treat her employees in a good manner. She hire a lot of African American workers but treat them bad AND she pay people late every pay period
