Bear Cub Mandarin Immersion Preschool Academy

The parents and staff of this organization linger outside… long after daycare is out. They’re are overbearing and make it so people like me can’t enjoy the building alongside it. Please be more considerate of your neighbors. Advocating to shut this place down.

My daughter loves this preschool! She looks forward to going to school every morning. Teachers in bear cub preschool take good care of my daughter and make she enjoy every minute there. The curriculum and kids' daily activities are really solid. My daughter often brings back her work when I pick her up. There are paintings, origami, plants, and other kinds of handcrafts. During the day, we would receive photos or videos of our daughter at school. This gives us great visibility on what's going on with our daughter during the day time. Bear cub school has good precaution against covid. When having lunch, two kids share one table with plastic shield dividing the table. In other time, everyone wears mask. Our daughter left bear cub one month ago only because it's too far from our home. We got a surprising farewell gift from the school, which is a booklet of photos and teacher's comments for every week since day 1. This records the growth of our daughter at school, and we strongly believe that teachers in bear cub care about kid's growth and will do everything they can to help kids.

This is a great school for young kids! The Mandarin immersion aspect makes it unique, and we found this when looking at other alternatives (I work full-time so limited hours, and my spouse doesn't know Mandarin so can't help with teaching the kids on this) and heard/saw recommendations from other Asian parents... since the other Chinese schools in the area all went full remote due to covid, which is tough and doesn't really work for the youngest learners just starting out. We're glad we gave this place a try, because we love this school and our enrolled child loves it too (the other child has conflict in timing with the public school or we'd send him too... he is even a little jealous of his little brother that he doesn't have Chinese school this year and envy the cool artwork and things his brother keeps bringing home)! We hear our son is even teaching other American kids some Mandarin at his public English school! They do so many activities every day and send photos and videos regularly. May be more expensive and pricey, but me & my spouse both agree it's well worth the cost and the commute (we live a few towns away so have a bit of a drive/rush to drop off and pick up, but we do it). The teachers and everyone at the school are very friendly and do listen to feedback, you can see they really love their jobs and truly care about the kids & their development. The facility is also very nice, clean, pretty wide open, with lower sinks for kids to easily wash their own hands frequently, and kid size small toilets to help facilitate potty training. Highly recommend! I normally don't bother with reviews, but I actually took the effort to leave one here (they didn't even ask me to), and a lengthy one at that. I even translate my review in both languages because I want others to know about this place. =) Very happy parent! 這個學校很好! 因為病毒情況，附近所有的中文學校都變成完全網上，可是這麼小的年紀要上線學習真的很難而且效率和教育成果差。 我們在找別的方法教中文 (我工作沒甚麼時間，和我老公不知道中文，沒辦法)，然後聽看到其他東方媽媽的推薦才決定去參觀學校然後登記試試。很高興有參加這個學校，我們對這個學校超滿意的，孩子也很開心學習 (甚至大兒子是因為他公立學校時間有衝突才沒有去，要不然也會送。。。 他也嫉妒弟弟有中文學校和一直帶好玩的美工東西回家)! 聽說我們小兒子甚至有開始在教美國同學中文，在他的英文公立學校! 他們每天做很多活動，也都有送照片和影片讓我們父母看的到小孩在學校是怎麼樣。 我和我老公都覺得就算是比較貴也比較遠是值得的。 老師們和學校的大家都很好和藹可親也會聽家長意見，很明顯的喜歡他們的工作和關心小孩們的發展。場地設備也很好，乾淨，有低的洗手台讓小朋友能夠很方便常常自己洗手，和小孩子馬桶幫忙鼓勵他們用廁所。 我是很高評推薦! 我通常很少寫這些留言的，可是我是志願的(他們真的根本沒問我寫，我自己要推銷的)，也這麼寫了不短的一篇。 甚至翻譯兩個語言 ，因為我要其他人也知道這個好學校。 =) 很滿意的家長!
