One of the worst in the area. They charge exhorbitant fees in the name of fancy facilities but compared to other bright horizons or any other daycares in the area this one is the worst. The teachers are below average, but I always wondered if they work two jobs and are really interested in what they do - this is for the primary teachers. The helper staff is awful most of them are college student in early education that are only on the job to earn money. Child development is not the focus, the school director was extremely disconnected and disinterested and never appeared really invested or passionate about what they do. I will never recommend this school to anyone.
M SFeb 24, 2026The whole infant team is absolutely fantastic! The teachers were so caring and kind, and I always felt completely at ease leaving my baby with them each day. We’re really sad he couldn’t stay longer due to our relocation, but I’m so grateful to all the staff for making his time there so happy and meaningful
Minah KimOct 11, 2025Our son has been with the Bright Horizon family for 2+ years, having started with the infant class and now graduating from toddler into preschool. What makes the Waltham center special are its people. Daniela leads an amazing team, everyone is professional, warm and they genuinely care about education and early development. Our son walks in the front door full of smiles and leaves even happier. I should also mention that we felt very comfortable returning after the Covid closure and appreciated the communication and flexibility throughout. We are incredibly grateful for the experience our son has been afforded at BH Waltham and would definitely recommend it to other parents. Thank you
Team DillonJan 27, 2021My family has been with Bright Horizons in Waltham for 3 yrs and couldn’t be happier. Both our children started in the infants program at ~3mo.; our older son has also gone through the Toddler program, and is now in Preschool. When looking for “the right” childcare prior to our first son being born we decided to go with a center vs. nanny as we wanted our children to have a structured curriculum of fun learning and socialization with other children. It was also very important to us that not only the teachers be caring and great with the children, but also the administration. This couldn’t be more true of Bright Horizons in Waltham! Everyone who works there is truly amazing and The Director is not only super responsive to any parent needs, but very much involved in the classrooms and knowing all the children. This is not something you see at many centers, despite what they might say during your tour, and it’s part of what makes this place so special. When the center re-opened during Covid, we like many debated what would be best for our children, our younger son having been born just a few months prior, and decided to return/enroll our infant. The communication on health and safety protocols, measures put in place to keep the children safe (staff wear masks, daily temp checks, regular sanitizing etc.) and parent partnership calls/weekly newsletters makes us feel our children are safe and able to enjoy some sense of normalcy in a very not normal time. Hearing the laughter coming from our children at pick up and our older son telling us all the fun he had with his friends playing, doing art, going on the playground... it is just so wonderful and reaffirms that we made the right decision. We can’t thank everyone at Bright Horizons enough for all the above and beyond care. Our kids are having so much fun and we are thrilled with their development. THANK YOU!!!
Cathy GustusJan 8, 2021Our son has been attending the Bright Horizons at Waltham location since he was 7 months old. He started in the infant room, is now in the pre-school classroom. I cannot say enough how great this center has been in terms of the care provided. The entire staff is dedicated in taking good care and providing a nurturing environment for the children. The teachers and the staff take care of the children as their own family. As first time parents, we always looked to them for advice and were always happy with the help we received. The curriculum is also so well rounded. They have the best plans for kids all ages to teach new things and have fun at the same time. In this crazy covid era, one of the most challenging decisions as working parents for us was to send our son back to the center, but seeing all the safety protocols put in place. we felt encouraged to send him back. Working at home full time with a toddler was not easy. But once he was back at school, we what an amazing job the staff was doing to keep the kids safe, that it put us at ease. Not only that, their open communication about any Covid related updates, just shows their transparency and honesty. Not only do they have protocols in place for safety of the kids, they teach the kids the right things to do which is beyond amazing. Our son is also so much happier going back and being in the company of his friends. The amount of respect and appreciation I have for all the teachers and the staff of this center, cannot truly be expressed in words. I say this all the time, and I will say this again- the only reason I can do my job, is because I am mentally at peace that my child is safe and happy. He is thriving there and learning new things everyday! So, thank you again all the staff for taking such good care and giving us peace of mind.
Shubhika VermaDec 14, 2020We've been at the center for ~7 years and have been impressed with the care throughout. When they reopened at the end of July with COVID protocols, it was truly remarkable the thoughtfulness, care, and rigor in place to keep staff and families safe. While it has been hard to not be able to go into the classroom and talk with the teachers face to face, the communication through the app and over email has been great, both from the teachers and administration. Our son in the kindergarten prep classroom comes home happy and excited to talk about all the interesting things he and his friends learned about. We are so happy that they were able to reopen and have been so pleased with how well everything has been working!
