  • Community Nursery School has provided my daughters with the highest quality early education. Since 1945, the school has been educating children in Lexington, Concord, Bedford, Arlington, and the surrounding communities. As a Reggio Emilia inspired program, children learn through play; interactions with peers and adults; and through joyful explorations of nature and materials. Children spend significant time outside each day enjoying the school’s ample grounds. The teachers at CNS are dedicated and professional educators who nurture children and families through this critical time and have access to deep experience and resources to support each child. The creative and flexible cooperative program that the school offers has allowed me to participate in my children’s education in a unique way. I love the warmth of the teachers and community of families, and cannot recommend this school highly enough.

  • Our family can't say enough good things about CNS - we've had one son go all the way through, one who is there now, and one more starting next year. The facilities are amazing, especially the gorgeous outdoor space where the kids spend time every day, but the very best part is the warmth and support of the teachers, staff, and extended community. Each child is treasured and supported in their individual growth. It has been absolutely amazing for our family!!

  • We started sending our nearly 3 year-old to this magical school this fall and it has been a very positive experience. The facilities inside and out were one draw as our little loves to explore nature and move his body. The child-led approach and cooperative makeup absolutely fit what we hoped for. Lastly, the truly amazing teachers and staff go above and beyond to help our child develop a love of learning and grow socially!
