This is our second year back ! My son LOVES the CIT program! He LOVES the staff . He would go all summer if we could swing it! We fly home to MA from FL every summer for him to attend. He loves being out on the water, he loves the staff the activities . He LOVES being responsible and he geniunely loves this whole expirience. It has really taught him reponsibility and time management and he feels a sense of freedom and I feel safe that hes basically on an island and cant get off lol. He won CIT of the week and he was SOOOOOOOOOOproud of himself he also just won a 20k scolarship for his high school and I could not be more proud of Trey. Thank you all so much! Side note:My younger brother and sisters as well as my older son attended almost 20 years ago and I did the day trips with park and rec in High school. We were all memebrs of the YMCA in Marblehead So this is something my whole family has done and loved! I would love to also mention my interactions wwith Sandy and just how how professional she is and has had to help me MULTIPLE times because I am rediculous and she is always paitient and knowlegable !
Jade MasonJul 7, 2026Came in for a workout and immediately left. Equipment room was far over capacity, there was no room for using dumbbells and all of the individual benches were occupied. Also there was a child no older than 5 or 6 playing with the cable machine.
Cayden HowardMay 20, 2026We have been involved with this Y since my children have been in preschool. Such a wonderful place full of wonderful memories for us. - the Campbell family
Pete CampbellMay 10, 2026We love the swim program at the Y. Our son has been doing it for a couple years. He has become a fabulous swimmer, and loves his classes. The coaches are fantastic, and the work the Y has done to improve the family changing rooms just makes it an even better experience.
Jack RooseveltMay 7, 2026As someone who lives in Marblehead, I regularly go to this Y. The treadmills are great, and the private room is definitely a plus. However, the women’s sauna is really disappointing. Why is it only at 130°F? On top of that, the door doesn’t fully close, so cold air keeps coming in. I work hard for my money, and this isn’t the experience I expect. I often end up going to the Peabody location before work instead, the sauna there is set to 190°F and actually functions properly. Please fix this as soon as possible. Marblehead deserves better.
S LMay 5, 2026The women’s sauna really needs some attention and upgrades. The door doesn’t fully close, and it never feels properly hot inside. You can actually feel cold air coming in from the locker room, which makes it even worse. It was only around 130°, which was honestly really disappointing. Please fix this as soon as possible. For comparison, the Beverly YMCA has a much better setup, the sauna is bigger and stays consistently hot at around 180°-190, which makes a huge difference.
