Meadowbrook Child Garden

My wife and I are teachers. Naturally, we have a unique lens through which we perceive pre-school. We could not have been more impressed and relieved at how wonderfully our children have been educated, prepared, and cared for over the last 4 years. Dr. Fernandez and her staff run a pre-school that I am proud and confident to associate with. As a parent you want to do the best and have the best for your children. Often you question the decisions you make. I have never once questioned or regretted my children’s education, preparation, or care while they attended Meadowbrook Children’s Garden. We have made life-long friends due to the community Dr. Fernandez builds and facilitates. And, when faced with a decision as to how our son should proceed in class, her evidence based reasoning, and approach rooted in a mission to help our son find his own love of learning, proved to be in the best interest of our son.

We are absolutely delighted with Meadowbrook Child Garden! We initially enrolled needing a longer school day for our daughter. While we were happy with the public option, more time at school was necessary to better support our family’s schedule. Our plan was to return to public once our daughter became eligible for the full-day program—believing Meadowbrook would serve as a one-year bridge. But after her first year, watching her truly flourish, we eagerly chose to send her back for her final preschool year. The staff is incredibly kind, caring, and supportive, and they make every child feel special and valued. The small class sizes allow for meaningful one-on-one attention, and the children build wonderful relationships with their peers. The director is warm, courteous, organized, and genuinely adores the children—something that shines through in every interaction. Dr. Fernandez works closely with families to meet individual needs; while the school follows a very consistent schedule and routine, they are willing to make thoughtful adjustments when appropriate. For example, although most students stay for the full day, there was a child in the class whom had a shortened schedule to best suit their families need. The staff handled this seamlessly, making it a natural part of the classroom routine with minimal disruption. The balance between learning and play is exceptional. The daily routines are thoughtfully designed to prepare children for the structure of elementary school. I also love that outdoor time is truly prioritized—children go outside every day, rain or shine, even if only for a short period. They love their outdoor time in the snow!! Our daughter loves going to school each day - even when her older siblings have a day off and she does not, she cheers and happily goes to school! Overall, our experience with Meadowbrook Child Garden has been outstanding. We only wish we had known about it sooner—our three older children would have loved it just as much!

Meadowbrook Child Garden Inc has been an incredible foundation for our children. If you want a school that truly nurtures emotional stability and sets kids up for long‑term success, this is the place. My son attended Meadowbrook and is now thriving in first grade. My daughter is still there and will be entering kindergarten this fall, and the growth we’ve seen in her has been amazing. We are forever grateful for Dr. Fernandez and every teacher. Dr. Fernandez knows every child personally and has a gift for guiding them exactly where they need to be. Her passion shows in everything she does, and she has shaped this school into something truly special. Whenever I talk to other parents, I tell them about Meadowbrook. I wish every family could experience what this school offers. Thank you, Meadowbrook, for being such an important part of our children’s growth.

My child has been attending Meadowbrook preschool since age three all the way until kindergarten, and it has been an outstanding experience from the very first day. The teachers are kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth, taking the time to understand their personalities and needs. The atmosphere is welcoming and my child is always excited to go to school and comes home happy and eager to share what they learned. I personally really appreciate that the program strikes a great balance between play, early academics, and social-emotional skills.

Our experience with Meadowbrook Childrens Garden has been a truly positive one. The teachers are great—knowledgeable, caring, and committed to each student’s success. Classrooms are engaging, with lessons that keep students interested and actively involved in their learning. The staff show strong attention to detail, whether it’s in academic support, classroom management, or noticing when a child might need extra help. Communication with parents is also a real strength. We are regularly updated on our child’s learning, progress, and overall well-being, including health-related concerns when they arise. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend this school to other families.
