  • We had 3 boys attend MCHW. While having time for play, this school helped guide each of my boys individually personalities and interests. It is warm, loving and gives the right amount of structure needed at the preschool age. It’s a special place, and one that should families feel lucky to be a part of.

  • My children both attended Montessori Children's House of Wellesley on Waban street and had an incredible experience. I absolutely loved this preschool - their independence was cultivated, their intellectual curiosity was nourished, and the curriculum was impressive. They learned so much there and were always incredibly happy to go to school because there was such a nice balance of instruction and guidance with the ability to choose their focus on a given day. MCHW also had a strong positive impact on our parenting by showing us as parents how much our kids could do independently and how much joy it brought them. Our kids dressed themselves sooner, prepared snacks and contributed to cooking meals sooner, and had so much less frustration with that added autonomy at “just right” stages with scaffolding provided by the school and complemented at home. My kids have both aged out and I still miss the warm and consistent communication from Miss Jenn and their teachers, and the true joy they felt going to school each day at one of the most important stages of their development.

  • We are lucky enough to have sent all 3 of our children to MCHW, and to have the honor of being in the first ever class way back in 2007! The School and it's wonderful owner, Jennifer Lee, have a special place in our hearts and always will. You won't find a more caring, supportive, intuitive, knowledgeable, and wise group of educators, or a more thoughtful or intelligent program. I am a big believer in the critical importance of early childhood education, and MCHW gave my kids the best possible start. The proof is in the skilled critical thinkers and creative problem solvers my kids became, not to mention how incredibly successful they have been academically, socially, and practically. I wish I could take credit for that myself, but I can honestly say it was MCHW that launched their readiness for the real world in so many dimensions, far ahead of their peers. Can you tell I'm still grateful, though my oldest is now in college?? If I had it to do over again, I would not hesitate for one moment to choose this school. I can't recommend it enough.

  • Both of my girls attended MCHW for 3 years and it was the most positive, educational and encouraging environment possible. To say we are fans of MCHW is an understatement. Miss Jenn, and her smart, caring and friendly team, fostered a sense of creativity, independence and growth in an environment where both my girls, who have very different learning styles and personalities, thrived. Any parent considering a Montessori school for their child should look no farther. In fact, I cannot wait for my son to begin his journey at MCHW in a few years:) A+++ school, teachers, and environment!

  • MCHW is just a magical place. Our older daughter (now 9) attended, and our younger daughter (now 5) just graduated. At MCHW, they developed a sense of responsibility for their learning, and a love of learning that they carry with them. Both our kids were excited to go to school every day (school was bursting with so many fun out-of-the-box learning opportunities), to “do their work”, and to spend time with their friends. Jenn is the most wonderfully thoughtful director on all fronts; she and all the teachers (like Susannah!) know our children through and through and care for them as whole people. We are so grateful to have been part of the MCHW community!

  • We chose MCHW after touring several Montessori programs in the area. We were so impressed by the care and experience of the director and staff. Our oldest child began her school career here, and we were heartbroken to leave due to an out of state move before our other children could attend. If you are looking for a nurturing environment for your child to develop confidence, independence, and academic skills, you will love this place!
