  • We are incredibly grateful for the experience our son Landon had at camp this summer! He absolutely loved being surrounded by other talented musicians, learning from the incredible instructors, and having the opportunity to grow both musically and personally. As Landon gets ready to head to college to study Music Education, experiences like this have been so valuable in helping him build confidence and feel even more excited about the path he has chosen. We are especially thankful for the scholarship Landon received and for the way the program recognized and invested in him as a young musician. It truly meant so much to our family. He has loved being part of this program and is already hoping to stay involved through jazz ensembles and other opportunities in the future. Such a wonderful program with people who genuinely care about their students and their growth. We can’t thank everyone involved enough for giving Landon such a memorable and meaningful experience!

  • My children aged 10 & 11 have been attending piano lessons for over a year with Robyn Xu. They have made so much progress over the year and both are enjoying playing piano at home and attending lessons. Robyn is an outstanding musician and a wonderful teacher. The facility in Hingham is great- spacious with lots of different seating areas- very comfortable atmosphere. Also lots of opportunities to have students perform recitals & attend performances. Highly recommended.

  • We’re sitting at the Carr Amphitheatre waiting for the South Shore Community Youth Orchestra Spring 2026 concert to begin, and it feels like the perfect moment to share how meaningful this program has been to our family. We have nothing but gratitude for everything the team behind SSCYO has created through this exceptional organization. Our daughter, a cellist in the symphony orchestra who was promoted this past autumn, has truly found her place here. As a neurodiverse student with social challenges, it can be difficult for her to find environments where she feels both comfortable and successful—but SSCYO has provided exactly that. It has been a genuine bright spot in our lives. We love seeing her dedication in practice and the joy she finds performing with her fellow musicians. Recently, she had the opportunity to perform with the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra—an unforgettable experience for our family and a deeply meaningful milestone for her as a young musician who loves to perform. We’ve been consistently impressed by the care, structure, and encouragement provided by everyone involved. It’s clear that a great deal of thought, passion, and intention goes into making this program what it is. SSCYO is a place where young musicians can truly thrive, and where neurodiverse students are welcomed, supported, and encouraged. It has meant more to our family than we can fully express.

  • This place is wonderful, an inspiring oasis of music and artistry, staffed by engaging and talented teachers. Christine Hedden is phenomenal fiddle and violin teacher with a warm and engaging demeanor, can't say enough good things about her and the SSC.

  • South Shore Conservatory is a wonderful community arts school with excellent programs for all ages. My son studies at HuiMin Wang Studio, and his teacher is incredibly professional and her classes are both rigorous and engaging. Thanks to her guidance, he has made tremendous progress and grown into a more confident and resilient person. He also participates in performances and competitions, which have helped him develop both skill and character. The studio feels like a big family, with very supportive parents and a positive environment. I highly recommend South Shore Conservatory to any family looking for high-quality music education. We are truly grateful for this experience!

  • Since I grew up in Hingham I was familiar with the SSC, but took piano lessons elsewhere when I was a kid. That said, after my long lapse in lessons I decided to start up again and chose the SSC. I'm so glad that I did! My teacher, Maral, has so much knowledge that I appreciate as she explains a piece. She is also very patient with me as I learn to play difficult pieces. I'm now entering my 10th year of lessons and am planning to continue with the SSC.
