We switched to South Shore Montessori School midyear after being disappointed in the experience at another local, longstanding Montessori program and we couldn’t be happier with the move. SSMS is small and homey in the way early childhood education should be. The materials and environment are thoughtfully presented and lessons are provided based on each individual child’s interest and ability. Most importantly, the teachers are excellent. They are warm and supportive without being condescending or talking down to the children; a true Montessori approach. I wholeheartedly recommend and will definitely be sending my younger children when they’re ready.
