Spring Street Preschool

Spring Street Preschool is a wonderful place. Located in downtown Amherst, it offers a range of enrollment opportunities. Dolly and Sonia are absolutely wonderful teachers will many years of combined knowledge and experience in early childhood education and ECE development. The preschool focuses on creative play that makes activities both fun and educational.

My wife went here when she grew up in Amherst and our daughter now for a couple years. It’s the perfect balance btw focusing on creativity, outside play and intro into learning with lots of reading and story making. Couldn’t be happier and think the teachers they have make it really special place. Get a spot if you can!

My daughter has attended Spring Street for the last two years and we have been so happy with her experience at the school! She is incredibly happy, loves school, has close friendships, and learns so much. It is a play-based school that fosters creativity and curiosity. The teachers are attentive and responsive to each individual students’ needs. The curriculum is guided by student interests. All children create journal stories by making drawings and then telling the story to a teacher who writes it down. They then read the stories out loud to the class and the children act out each other’s stories. I am a K-5 instructional coach and very much appreciate the social and academic skills our daughter has developed at Spring Street. She is well-prepared for Kindergarten.

Spring Street Preschool is a gem! All three of my kids spent their preschool years here, and had wonderful experiences. The teachers deeply understood my children's individual needs, and created an environment that fostered their academic, social, and emotional development.
