Starboard Academy

Today was bittersweet 🥹 as we said goodbye to Starboard Academy which is where our little girl has spent the last 3 years of her young life. My husband and I are eternally grateful for the care, education and love that our daughter has received from so many of the staff. We have made great friendships and I’ll always look back at this time in all of our lives very fondly. Thank you to Nikki, Tonya, Sydney, Rachael, Liz, Dawn, Courtney, Amanda and the countless other staff members who made an impact on my daughters life. Most of all, I want to thank her teacher for the last 2 years, Miss Brooke. She has been such a positive influence in her daily life. We are forever grateful for how much love you’ve shown our daughter and everything you’ve taught her…we’ll miss you all so much. ❤️ Next stop…Kindergarten!

Starboard Academy is a wonderful place. My daughter has been going there since she was an infant. Not only is she super advanced with her education, but I also feel she is slightly ahead of the learning curve with her vocabulary and social skills. I have to credit her exposure to a variety of learning activities, the structure, the teachers, the staff, and interactions with the other kids. I can speak from experience, that whatever rash opinions are floating around out there, my family has been here since day one, and we have had nothing but great experiences. My daughter has been well taken care of, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Starboard Academy. I think they're great and have been a real-life saver. I wish them nothing but the best. 😀

Starboard Academy has been a wonderful experience for our family, I highly recommend if you are searching for a best-in-class day care. The care our daughter has received has always been top notch. We've always had great experiences with the care givers and there isn't a better facility on the South Shore than what Starboard has built at their Plymouth and Marshfield locations. There's always monthly happenings and activities planned by the staff to keep the kids engaged and having fun. Well thought out weekly lesson plans and support for transitions to the next programs. Updates and pictures via the mobile app the throughout the day go the extra mile to help us parents stay in the know. Lunch and snacks with considerations to any allergies has been such a benefit for us (thank you, Ms. Liz!!). I just can't recommend Starboard enough - it's truly such a wonderful place for our family!

We were with Starboard Academy (Plymouth) for several years, but recently made the difficult decision to move our child to a different daycare. The facilities are beautiful and spotless, and the snacks/meals are healthy and thoughtfully prepared. The teachers were wonderful—warm, caring, and communicative—but they’ve had to work within a system that feels unstable and mismanaged. Frequent turnover (both in the classrooms and in administration) makes for frequent and sometimes difficult transitions. The school also quietly reduced its hours (from 7:00–6:00 to 7:30–5:30) without any change in tuition. There are also more professional development closures than most other centers—families still pay full price regardless. Most concerning are the recent reports in the Plymouth Independent about administrative cover-ups, denials, and a culture where teachers fear backlash for raising concerns. That lack of transparency and accountability ultimately led us to lose trust in the leadership. We’re grateful to all of the teachers who supported our child with so much care—but we knew it was time for a change. Consider the other reviews and recent press coverage before making your decision.

My daughter has attended since she was 8 weeks old and I couldn’t be more happy. She has grown and learned so much in the year she has attended starboard and I can truly attest that the staff truly care for my child. The owners are present and the leadership team in general is attentive and involved. I would highly recommend starboard for any age! The facility is unlike any other daycare I have seen. Starboard is by far the best decision I could have made for my daughters first years of her life.
