The Kendall School

This is our third year as a Kendall School family, and we are over-the-top grateful for the wonderful instruction and care our kids have received. Kendall School has provided them with a tremendous foundation for elementary school, all within a warm, caring, responsive, enriching, and developmentally aware environment. It is truly bittersweet for us that our younger child is aging out and moving on to Kindergarten this fall. Kendall School is an absolute gem, and I would recommend it whole-heartedly to any family!

We feel so lucky to have found the Kendall School. Our son has thrived over his almost two years at the school. He loves all the school has to offer- music each morning, specials that include dance, science, a language, drama and cooking, and new and exciting lessons each week (kindness, outer space, rhymes, weather, etc). We’ve been so excited to see his ability to write takeoff this year as well and always hear him singing the songs at home or teaching us (or his siblings) about the lessons he is learning. We’ve appreciated the warmth and helpful collaboration with the teachers. We’ve also been impressed by the communication and their processes for drop off/pick up- such a well oiled machine. We can’t wait for his brother to attend this upcoming year.

This wonderful little nursery school has been a true gift to our family, especially our son. He enrolled in the young three's program, and he was instantly welcomed and loved by his friends and teachers. Mrs. Barber and Ms. Buckley have been instrumental in his growth and development, and every single teacher in the school looked out for him and cared for him as their own student. It was truly a wonderful experience, and he learnt so much. He particularly loved music class and cooking class where he would sing a new song on the ride back home or leave school with a berry smoothie mustache. A true joyful experience at this school with a wonderful director leading it.

The Kendall School is such a welcoming place and has provided my son with such a positive preschool and PreK experience. The teachers and staff greet each family with a smile each morning and it is easy to tell that everyone who works there wants the best for their students. We have enjoyed the balance between academic skills and social emotional skills from the youngest to oldest classrooms. We also appreciate the afternoon special activities such as cooking, drama, foreign language and science! My son has enjoyed celebrating and learning about all holidays and cultures as well. The outdoor area is well maintained and provides a variety of activities for all students to choose from. Kendall is such a wonderful place to kickstart learning and there truly is kindness spread across all areas of the school!

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at The Kendall School. Both of our kids have absolutely thrived — one is now a proud alum, and the other is still there. Each day is filled with joy, creativity, and learning through outdoor play, art, music, yoga, and much more! The teachers are caring and dedicated, the director is fantastic, and the community is warm and welcoming. We’ve made great friends and lasting memories. We’ll miss it so much next year. Highly recommend!
