The Taylor School

The Taylor School is an incredible place for children to learn and thrive. Our child started at the Taylor School not speaking any English, and not having been in childcare outside of the home. The teachers were so warm and welcoming, that it wasn’t long before our child would tell us about them and light up whenever they came to get them from the carline at school. Our child’s English language skills exploded, as did their social skills and independence. The school’s dedication to the Montessori Curriculum and the care and effort they put into making sure parents have the opportunity to understand the curriculum is incredible. Attending a parent night, you get a sneak peak into your child’s day to day activities, but you also get to see the passion the teachers have for the children and the curriculum. After one year we saw our child develop their confidence, learn important practical life skills, and increase their love of nature, as outside play is a critical part of the curriculum, and there are apparently so many cool rocks that can be collected! We can’t speak highly enough of Marni and all of the teachers at the school who not only support the children but their families as well. Thank you to TTS for everything!

The school welcomed our child with utmost grace and compassion. We were late to start in the year, but administration was so patient and the quickness to which our child was brought up to speed with the school's process and procedure system was astonishing. We wish very much that we had found you sooner!

We couldn't be happier with the teachers, staff and environment at The Taylor School. Our son was coming home from his previous care provider totally overstimulated and out of sorts (aka major meltdowns!) but that changed completely after joining the Taylor School. The teachers are incredible at providing individualized support to meet each child based on where they're at. I've seen my son go from being shy and reticent to join in activities to telling me not only about the activities he DID join but also the kindness and encouragement he got when he wasn't yet ready to participate. I'm amazed at the breadth of real learning the Montessori curriculum provides and the creative ways in which the teachers deliver the lessons. I've watched my son's love of numbers and math blossom and have been impressed by his ability to focus for long periods of time increase over the course of this last year (which I totally credit to the Montessori curriculum's structure and work cycles). There are a lot of wonderful options for childcare in this area, but there is something special about the Taylor School. It feels like an extension of home. The entire culture is imbued with heart, respect, grace and courtesy which clearly makes the kids comfortable and empowered.

The Taylor School has provided my daughter with a loving, caring, attuned, stimulating, intentional, and peaceful educational environment for the past two years. There are endless learning opportunities and the staff has been wonderful when we needed support around sensory and attention-related issues. We are eager for our daughter to embark on her kindergarten year and take on more of a leadership role within her classroom. She is excited to go to school everyday, has made friends, gets a significant amount of outdoor play daily, and we can’t sing the praises of the staff and educational programming provided at TTS enough. We highly recommend this program which also has the added bonuses of chickens and bunnies on site, and a weekly swim class at Swimfit for an additional cost. We will really miss TTS when she graduates next year and will always remember it!!

Our family has been incredibly fortunate to be part of the Taylor School community for the past three years, and I cannot speak highly enough of the profound impact it has had on my son. When he began his journey at Taylor, he was extremely shy and faced significant speech delays. As a parent, it was difficult not knowing how he would adjust or how he would be supported in those critical early years. But from the moment we joined, it was clear that the Taylor School was a special place. The teachers welcomed him with open arms, showing an extraordinary level of patience, warmth, and understanding. Their thoughtful, child-centered approach combined with the Montessori philosophy gave him the space to grow at his own pace, and over time, we witnessed the most remarkable transformation. Our once-reticent little boy blossomed into a confident, expressive, and joyful child. He made friends, eagerly participated in class activities, and found his voice—both literally and figuratively. The school’s curriculum is both enriching and balanced. The integration of nature into their daily rhythm has been a standout element. Whether it’s nature walks, or hands-on science exploration, the children are given the freedom and encouragement to explore and connect with the world around them. This instilled in my son a deep sense of curiosity, independence, and respect for nature—values that will serve him for life. We’ve been so impressed with every aspect of the Taylor School experience that our daughter will be joining this fall, and we couldn’t be more excited for her. Knowing the care, thoughtfulness, and genuine passion the staff brings to their work, we feel incredibly confident that she, too, will thrive. To any parent considering the Taylor School: it is more than just a preschool—it is a nurturing, inspiring environment that honors the individuality of each child. It has made all the difference in our son’s life, and we are so grateful.
