The Westwood Montessori School

The Westwood Montessori School was the perfect place for my child to go. You can tell how much the teachers truly care for the children, get to know the children for who they are, and work with them where they are at. It is a special place, where kids are nurtured in a peaceful environment with attention to learning through fun and hands-on experience. It is also super clean, and communication is always great between teachers and parents. My daughter loved it, and met her best friend there. I was sad when it was time for my daughter to leave such a wonderful environment and head off to kindergarten. We have come back to visit and I always marvel at how positive, caring, creative, and dedicated the teachers are! I cannot imagine a better preschool!

Our child attended for 3 years full time (including the after school program) and had a wonderful experience. The teachers are kind and loving, and the curriculum is thoughtful and age appropriate. We appreciated that the curriculum changes each year as the child grows up. There was almost no teacher turnover during our 3 years which is basically unheard of for a preschool. Our child was very thoroughly prepared both academically and socially for a large public elementary school and it was a very smooth transition. Our child still loves to go back and visit now. We wholeheartedly recommend Westwood Montessori to any family looking for a very special and loving, small school where their child will learn a lot!

Both my children attended WMS and thrived. My kids are very different and each one got the tailored experience they needed to prep them for kindergarten. Both of my children came away with a great life of learning and are excelling in elementary school. They grew skills in socialization, being in a classroom, and then of course art, geography, math, reading and writing. I also appreciated the flexibility around extended day. I am a stay at home mom so we didn’t need them to stay every day. But it was helpful to be able to have the option without committing to it every day for the entire year.

We have had a wonderful experience with two children passing through the Westwood Montessori School. The teachers are highly skilled in early childhood education, provide individualized attention to each child, and maintain open communication with families. They have supported us through potty training, family transitions, and early reading and math for the children. We feel very confident in our children’s preparation for kindergarten.

From the moment we became part of the school community, we felt welcomed, supported, and confident that he was in the right place. The environment is warm, nurturing, organized, and truly focused on helping each child grow at their own pace. What I appreciate most are the teachers. They are patient, kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the children. You can tell they put so much love and effort into what they do every day. They take the time to understand each child’s personality, learning style, and needs, which makes such a difference. My son has grown so much socially, emotionally, and academically since attending. I am so grateful for the dedication of the teachers and staff, and I would highly recommend this Montessori school to any parent looking for a caring and enriching environment for their child.
