  • Alumni families with siblings are treated like any prospective families that have toured the school only once. When our first child visited the school, we contributed to class gifts, special celebrations and adjusted to the school routine and already felt like part of the community. But when we wanted to enroll our second child to the school, we did not have any chance to get in due to the early registration head start for current students and their siblings, even though in some cases the older sibling is already out of school by the time the younger one starts. This practice is unfair towards other alumni families that don’t count as current families due to larger age gaps between the siblings. All other preschools we looked at prioritize either only *concurrent* siblings (siblings who attend the school at the same time) or *all* siblings equally. In any case, it is not right that the alumni families have the same registration opening time like externals because they have already built a relationship with the school and continuity also matters to them.
