  • A family affair is such a hidden gem. The teachers are sweet and loving. Their availability and reliability is amazing. My kids have a blast there every day and have built lasting relationship. They focus on play and socialization with learning. They provide snacks, an occasional field trip and water day in the summer. It’s great

  • I have loved this facility for many years including when I attended there as a child, as well as being a parent of 2 children who attend there on a daily basis. My children are overjoyed every day walking into this facility, they absolutely love their teachers and cannot stop sharing all of the fun things they do every day and sharing what they learned. Every day drop off is as effortless as possible as the staff immediately assist me with taking off coats and putting away their water bottles. We often have to chase down my children to take off their coats (in the winter) as they try to run to their friends or their favorite toys as fast as possible. My one son struggled with speaking and every since he was placed in the 2-3's class his vocabulary and even his personality has blossomed and I cannot thank the staff for all their work with both of my children. The 4-5's teacher is also very dedicated to making sure the children are prepared for their next steps in their education, even practicing signing their names every day! I appreciate the communication and photos posted to the app connecting parents to teachers! I would recommend this facility 10 times out of ten! Thank you again AFA staff for making your facility feel like home away from home for my sons as it makes me leaving them for the day so much easier!

  • i’ve dropped my boyfriends children off a few times and the staff is always so friendly, they’re helpful, and they are very good with the kids. plus it was even hard to get a goodbye from the boys because they just ran right into their class to play!

  • Staff is extremely unprofessional with how they handled a very concerning situation that involved the head teacher in the 2-3 year old class the teacher that is know for getting all the “bad” kids in check. As a responsible , concerned and upset parents we had to be report this situation. When we talked to the director she was rude trying to get us out the center and repeatedly asking us do we want to unenroll our son. We also had a problem with the head teacher in the 2-3 year old room decided to not allow my son to eat one of his snacks from his lunch. The told us he was having a bad day all day. It was because she singled him out and took his food. When I brought this to the attention of his teacher she informed me it was healthy. As if she they don't ask us to pack lunch. They also don’t teach the kids anything they do circle time thats it.I came to them as a concerned parent. All they did was dismiss us and push us out the door. I hope no other parent has to deal with similar situation. I find it odd that all the one start reviews all have something in common.

  • Nice place for your kid, good and friendly staff. I highly recommend them. Will use them again and again. My only turn off is the play ground. It really needs to be worked on. It leaves the kids shoes black and dirty every single day. .

  • My daughter just started daycare here as soon as she turned 2, and my nephew has been here for 2 years. Both kids love going there, are making fast friends, and the staff is just wonderful!

Questions parents ask about A Family Affair Children's Center

Is A Family Affair Children's Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. A Family Affair Children's Center holds Maryland licence 1746210198718x143064374739692020, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Baltimore County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to August 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about A Family Affair Children's Center's standing?

Maryland records A Family Affair Children's Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is A Family Affair Children's Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 23 school-age places for A Family Affair Children's Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does A Family Affair Children's Center operate all year?

Maryland records A Family Affair Children's Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for A Family Affair Children's Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects A Family Affair Children's Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
