My children have been going here for 3 years now and they love it. The teachers all know my kids very well and they summer camp is my older kids favorite.
Heather MathenaJun 1, 2026The name Almost Home is very appropriate because my daughter truly feels at home here. I really cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work here. I grew up with a stay-at-home mom and was verrrrry hesitant to send my daughter to daycare, especially having to do it when she was only 4 months old. I was extremely apprehensive about it, but after the first day of bringing her here I felt reassured and can say I have not worried since. That feeling as a parent is priceless. The staff genuinely knows my daughter and cares about her. During her first year of life she had horrific eczema and they managed it so attentively and carefully. She also struggled significantly with feeding and frequently refused bottles when she was younger, and they worked with her through all of that patiently and consistently. I never once felt like she was just another kid there and I have never felt they did not care or pay attention to my child even once. Now my daughter is 18 months old and she is SO happy there. Half the time she does not even want to leave when I pick her up because she is having so much fun. Every morning when we walk in, all the staff greets her so warmly and happily and you can tell they really love these kids. They do so many activities with them throughout the year, send monthly newsletters, and keep parents very involved and informed. My daughter comes home learning and communicating new things and overall she is a very happy, social, and well-adjusted child and as a working parent, with her spending a great deal of time there, I cannot discount the major role Almost Home 2 and their staff have played in her positive development. Another thing I really appreciate is how well-run and reasonable the daycare is. I have family members whose daycares call them constantly for what honestly sounds like absurd reasons. Every single time Almost Home has called me, my daughter was SICK. They pay attention and are very on top of things, and are very fair. The communication is excellent and the app is always updated with what my daughter is doing throughout the day. No matter who is taking care of her, it is always up to date so I always feel I know what is going on with her during the day. They always answer the phone, management is very responsive, and Amanda and Cecilia clearly run a tight ship. You can tell this place is exceptionally well managed. My husband and I originally thought we would want to start formal schooling as early as possible but honestly I do not want to pull her out of here a second earlier than I have to because she is thriving here and genuinely so happy. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Almost Home 2 and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a safe, loving, organized, and genuinely wonderful daycare.
Olivia CheikhMay 13, 2026My daughter has been attending this daycare for a while now, and she really enjoys it. I appreciate the staff being nice and caring and director, Ceci is really warm, caring and truly loves what she does. I feel completely at ease knowing my daughter is in such good hands.
Ojowu DavisMar 23, 2026I’ve had a great experience with this childcare center. The staff are kind, attentive, and truly care about the kids. My child is comfortable and happy to come here everyday. I especially appreciate the regular updates and photos throughout the day, it gives me a peace of mind while at work. The facility is clean, well-organized, and feels very safe. We would definitely recommend this center to other families looking for a caring and reliable environment for their child.

How many children is Almost Home 2 Child Care Center licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 30 infant places and 13 school-age places for Almost Home 2 Child Care Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Almost Home 2 Child Care Center operate all year?
- Maryland records Almost Home 2 Child Care Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Almost Home 2 Child Care Center?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Almost Home 2 Child Care Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
