  • All 3 of my kids have gone to BCDS and they all have loved it. The teachers and administrators are warm, caring, and great educators. You can feel the care everyone here puts into what they do the moment you walk in- I can’t say enough good things about BCDS.

  • We are so grateful to have found Bethesda Country Day School for our daughter! She started in October after attending another school for 3.5 years, and the transition has been incredibly smooth. In the past few months, she has grown so much and is excited about learning every day. Her teachers, Mr. Jorge and Ms. Kayla, are exceptional, and we see how much they care for the children. The entire staff, especially Ms. Mila, Ms. Samantha, and Ms. Brittany, are warm and welcoming and make an effort to know each child personally. We also really appreciate the great communication from the administration, keeping us informed and engaged. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school every day and never wants to leave because of her wonderful friends, teachers, and the entire school community. It's such a relief knowing she's in such good hands!

  • I had a positive experience with BCDS. My child attend this school for preschool and summer camp, about 3 years in total). The kindergarten enrichment camp was extremely helpful. The staff are well trained, professional, fair, and have good communication skills. They connect with parents well. I always knew about any issues and concerns with my child right away. The teachers are very capable and effective at managing the students needs. There are many opportunities for parents to attend school events like international night, muffins for mom, doughnuts for dad, etc. The admin staff, principal, vice principal are a class act. They run a tight ship and manage the school well. I liked the healthy lunches, the daily reports, the learning provided to all the students, the summer camp field trips, and the various enrichment activities.

  • BCDS has been an absolutely incredibly experience for both of our kids and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that wants to put their little one in an incredibly loving, familial, academically focused but also super fun environment. Our daughter is now 5 and wrapping up her final year - we are sooo sad, as she has absolutely loved her time there and made such great friends and learned so much. Similarly, our son (who is now almost 8 and is mildly on the autism spectrum) had a fantastic experience (was there for 3 years), played well with his peers and the staff was so kind and made him feel extremely comfortable at all times. He too thrived and was well prepared for Kindergarten and continued to drop-in during the school year. Both of our kids have also done camp over the summer and had a blast. Bottom line, all of the teachers and administration members treat the kids like they are their own and really strive to help the students grow not only in terms of their reading, writing, math and other subjects, but also with respect to their social and emotional awareness. It's a warm and welcoming community led by the Principal (Ms. Mila), the Assistant Principal (Ms. Brittany), and the other key front office team members (Ms. Ceci and Ms. Samantha). In short, we love BCDS!!

  • I can’t say enough wonderful things about Bethesda Country Day School. From the very first day six years ago, the staff has made us feel like family. They provide an incredibly nurturing and safe environment where my children are not only cared for, but truly loved. The teachers and staff are attentive, patient, and genuinely passionate about our kids and early childhood development! The activities they plan are creative, educational, and fun — my kids are always excited to share what they learned each day. What makes BCDS even more special are the great events they organize. International Night is a yearly highlight, where families come together to celebrate different cultures, and the children learn about the world. The Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat events are some of our favorite fall activities. Communication is excellent; we always feel informed and involved. The facility is clean, bright, and welcoming, and it’s clear they go above and beyond to maintain a safe space. We go to work each day knowing my children are in the best possible hands. We are so grateful to have found such a caring community! Highly recommend to any parent looking for exceptional childcare!

  • We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Bethesda Country Day School! After relocating to the area nearly a year ago, choosing BCDS for our son was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we first visited, we were sold — the environment was warm, welcoming, and full of energy. The teachers and staff are truly exceptional — attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. Ms. Samantha in the front office always greets us with a smile (and often a hug for my son), setting the perfect tone for the day. We love stopping by the cafeteria each morning to chat and practice Spanish with Ms. Nurys, which has become a special part of our daily routine. In the classroom, my son thrives under the leadership of Ms. Chandi and her amazing team. Their depth of experience and nurturing approach make such a positive impact. It’s clear that every staff member, from administration to teachers, is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment. We are so grateful to be part of the BCDS family and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school that truly puts children first!

Questions parents ask about Bethesda Country Day School

Is Bethesda Country Day School a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Bethesda Country Day School holds Maryland licence 1746209004076x568076715513672300, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Montgomery County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to October 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Bethesda Country Day School's standing?

Maryland records Bethesda Country Day School's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Bethesda Country Day School licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 23 school-age places for Bethesda Country Day School. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Bethesda Country Day School operate all year?

Maryland records Bethesda Country Day School as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Bethesda Country Day School?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Bethesda Country Day School's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
