  • This is a great daycare. I have quite a few children who have been going for the past 3.5 year. My children adore the staff they want to go to daycare everyday even on weekends and are upset if they miss a day. During the school year my children have gotten homework and school aged projects. They take the children on trips, water play in the summer, celebrate all birthdays and holidays, they have provided food to families and offer support when needed. I have zero complaints.

  • Very unprofessionally operated by an owner named Ms.Wendy, the establishment operates in a lazy careless manner, where Then they were shut down due to a child getting out of the facility with 4 stag members present and not being spotted by anyone but an outside who also reported the situation leading up the their state issued shut down, and once approved for reopening after months, they increased their monthly fees and added late fee charges, however, they still weren’t Operating in a professional child care manner such as potty training and basic learning lessons which is said to be included in the program; it was times my child is coming home with two pull ups on, I couldn’t imagine a mistake being made like that bc the come separately packed anyway so after asking them twice if they were aware of two pull ups being put on my child they said it was easier for them to transition at the end of the day which literally makes no sense. I truly feel as though they just sit there collecting money just to watch kids not actually provide the full service of childcare which is essential to kids of the age group that they are excepting. A big no, your child will not progress. So glad we were able to move and find my child a much better & productive learning establishment. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to send their child here if your looking for educational growth in your kids!! You can literally pay someone else for the work that they do. Respectfully honest.

  • What can I say, I absolutely love Special Me Developmental Center. I found out about them through a friend so I set up a meeting with the director Joann Bailey and after that I just knew my daughter was going to be in a safe space. The staff pays close attention to the kids and knows all of their personalities and structures learning based off that. My niece also went through special me. They will always be family to us. Thank you Ms Bailey, Ms Chyna, and Ms Dawn for all you’ve done with the little ones in my family.

Questions parents ask about Bright Stars Learning Center

Is Bright Stars Learning Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Bright Stars Learning Center holds Maryland licence 1746210847047x972911992714642800, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Baltimore City. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to November 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Bright Stars Learning Center's standing?

Maryland records Bright Stars Learning Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Bright Stars Learning Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 5 school-age places for Bright Stars Learning Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Bright Stars Learning Center operate all year?

Maryland records Bright Stars Learning Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Bright Stars Learning Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Bright Stars Learning Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
