Our daughter started at Elefantitos Preschool at just 7 months old, and over the past three years we’ve watched her truly blossom into a confident, tri-lingual (Spanish, English, and Mandarin) 3-year-old who is intellectually advanced—already beginning to read, write, and do arithmetic—and remarkably emotionally aware, with healthy tools to calm herself during big feelings and express herself with words. The nurturing environment created by the school director Sam has made all the difference; she brings a unique warmth and connection with the children, and her genuine care is something we deeply trust and value. As Elefantitos transitions to Pike & Rose, Sam continues to demonstrate exceptional thoughtfulness toward families—for example, generously making school parking available to help me manage carpool logistics when my employer required a return to office without adequate on-site parking. She truly treats both the children and their parents like family, supporting us through challenges and incorporating family milestones and personal accomplishments into school celebrations. Elefantitos has given our family not just a preschool, but a true community. If you’re considering preschool options, I highly encourage you to check them out—you won’t regret it.

The curriculum is structured, yet caters to the individual child. Ms. Sam is loving and supportive and cares for all of her students in the most wonderful way. We loved our time there.

Sam is great since her flexible style allows children to be themselves, but also provides a structured environment which is great for kids to learn day to day skills. In addition, her new location is very spacious, safe and well decorated to children’s needs.

SandraSep 9, 2022I couldn't agree more with what's already been written -- Ms. Sam and her team are amazing. Sam comes to learn (and love) each child individually (their strengths, weaknesses, needs, etc) and she is so passionate about her work with the kids at Elefantitos. My son has also had challenges with different transitions in the last year and Sam has handled each transition/situation with such compassion, care, love, and professionalism. We've learned the hard way that not every daycare/preschool in the area is made the same -- and Elefantitos is just a gem. We are so grateful to have our son at Elefantitos.

Months later, our daughter still talks about everything she learned from her “favorite teacher,” Ms. Sam. We miss her!!!!!!!!
