  • This daycare is absolutely amazing. The entire staff is dedicated to their craft on making sure our children has the best learning experience while nurturing them like their own. My daughter is so in love with this daycare that she can't wait until mornings to go see her friends. The staff embrace her each morning with love that I am proud to call this daycare home away from home. Don't mistake this awesome daycare facility with the terrible daycare in Oxon Hill where the teacher abuses the innocent children. No not that daycare. First Learning Stages Daycare rocks!!!

  • ZERO STARS. They abuse children here. Allowed their “teachers” to hit, push, pull and scream at the kids. Like they were nothing but gym stuck at the bottom of their shoe. It’s heartbreaking that people get these jobs without proper care and love for children in general. Disgusting staff. Will never never recommend a parent to pay for their child to be abused here daily. My heart goes out to the other parents that have experienced what myself and others have. Avoid at all costs.

  • This daycare is amazing. All the staff took so much time to help my babies adjust, learn, and grow. Both of my babies left potty-trained ( youngest is 2) Both children had much better communication skills after leaving their care! They were truly a blessing. There was never an issue with communication or updates either. 10/10 would recommend!

  • My son attended First Learning Stages for 2 weeks. The teachers seemed well-intentioned and I believe he was well cared for in that time, however, when we spoke on the phone with the owner before he started we were told that we would be receiving daily updates via their app (Brightwheel). We did not receive updates at all about naps, meals, or diaper changes. After complaining about the lack of updates the next day we got 3 pictures, but after that it went back to almost nothing. When I would pick him up, there would be a brief conversation, but not as much as I'd like and key things would be missing. For example, if he didn't eat much that day, that affects what time we would do dinner at home (I could even call my husband and ask him to have my child's dinner ready when we got home) and I would have appreciated a heads up from his teacher, but I would end up finding out when I got home and there were full food containers. We decided to withdraw him and move to a different center and our experience has been markedly different. When we informed the owner that we were leaving she did express that she would be making changes, but we decided we did not want to stay long enough to see if things would get better.

  • This an Incredible Daycare , a positive black owned family business, the daycare is very clean, the decor is fun, the equipment is up to date, it smells good, the staff is on point, and the rates are affordable. They are well organized, very attentive, nurturing, and passionate about children. I highly recommend this daycare😁 #enrollurkidhere

Questions parents ask about First Learning Stages Daycare Center

Is First Learning Stages Daycare Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. First Learning Stages Daycare Center holds Maryland licence 1746214971156x188606455816889400, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to July 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about First Learning Stages Daycare Center's standing?

Maryland records First Learning Stages Daycare Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is First Learning Stages Daycare Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 6 infant places for First Learning Stages Daycare Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does First Learning Stages Daycare Center operate all year?

Maryland records First Learning Stages Daycare Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for First Learning Stages Daycare Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects First Learning Stages Daycare Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
