  • My son (2 yo) was in this daycare for four months and he came home with nail marks in the back of his arm twice (skin broken and bleeding). After consulting with the director, Miss Jennifer, she blamed it on a toy. 🤯 She refused to write an incident report so I removed my son and never returned. No called to follow up nor resolve the issue. I would not recommend!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed in his teachers and director.

  • my child has excelled so much. he is successful at all he does. the staff are awesome. Some may seem a little off, but its early morning and late afternoon, so they are tired. but they are always on track. no abuse, no cursing, no meaness. God has blessed our family with this daycare and church

  • I wanted to post as there aren’t many recent posts. My daughter has been at GCCDC in the 2s class for almost a year now and she truly enjoys school and has thrived socially since her start. The staffing has been consistent since her start, and they all are personable when I interact with them. My child had a longer adjustment period than most, but they were very patient and worked with her, and now she looks forward to going to school. She always brings work home so I know that they are doing some work at school and the teachers communicate daily with families through their take home folder and class dojo. The 2s teachers are very consistent with toileting, and my daughter was potty trained within a few months, mostly due to their consistency at school. My few recommendations for improvement would be to add more school decor to the lobby area. As an educator myself, I feel that when you walk into a school, even in the front office area, that there should be evidence of learning and student joy. I would love to see student artwork, motivational/seasonal bulletin boards, and pictures of students at play when you walk into the building. You have to grab the interest of families as soon as they come in 🙂. Additionally, I hope there will be more opportunities for families to volunteer and participate as the school has been on Covid restrictions and tours and volunteering have not been allowed, which can deter potential families. I am overall pleased with this daycare, the staff are friendly, the tuition is affordable, and I look forward to her continued academic and social growth at GCCDC.

  • I absolutely regret placing my son in this daycare. They ruined his first time daycare experience. He is traumatized by what he experienced there. They need to remove Christian from there name because they are far from it.

  • My family and I really like this daycare for our daughter. We weren’t sure in the beginning because of a fast turnaround in staff, but I think that was growing pains, and God has placed the right people there now to teach, encourage & love our kids. The progress is evident in my 3 year olds development, her never ending questions and her conversations and songs about God. The bishop and his executive board definitely take our concerns and ideas into consideration, and Ms. Winnie is a pleasure to work with. Just like myself, she may answer your questions bluntly, but it’s not mean spirited or nasty. She’s extremely busy & pulled in many directions, but she is about her business and making sure our precious blessings are well cared for. It’s been a year and we plan to continue attendance because my daughter gives it 5 thumbs up!

  • My son was one of the two students that started when GCCDC reopened about 2 years ago and is currently in the 4 year old class. GCCDC has grown a lot since then and so has my son. When he started he could only say "No", "Daddy", and "Mommy". Now my son surprises me with the vocabulary he has, he counts literally everything, and identifies things around him such as the sun, moon, colors, and shapes. He now tells me that he wants to pray and spells his name for everyone. The staff at GCCDC are all friendly and hospitable. The Director really listens and addresses your concerns and his teachers are actually excited when your child makes progress. Also, the entire staff makes safety their top priority. I would highly recommend GCCDC for all early childcare needs.

Questions parents ask about Greater Christian Community Daycare

Is Greater Christian Community Daycare a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Greater Christian Community Daycare holds Maryland licence 1746220941037x574938964479825700, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to October 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Greater Christian Community Daycare's standing?

Maryland records Greater Christian Community Daycare's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Greater Christian Community Daycare licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 6 school-age places for Greater Christian Community Daycare. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Greater Christian Community Daycare operate all year?

Maryland records Greater Christian Community Daycare as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Greater Christian Community Daycare?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Greater Christian Community Daycare's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
