We are incredibly grateful for the care and support our family received at this daycare. Both of my children attended, and leaving was truly bittersweet—we only did so because we moved out of town. My oldest started daycare around 18 months, and my youngest began at about 4 months old. I was understandably nervous enrolling my youngest so early, especially since my first child started later. From day one, however, the teachers were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in my children. My youngest immediately gravitated toward his teachers, smiling and responding to them with ease, which brought me so much peace as a parent. My oldest has absolutely thrived here—socially, emotionally, and developmentally. The growth we’ve seen in him is a true testament to the nurturing environment, structure, and intentional care provided by the staff. Communication has always been clear and consistent, which I deeply appreciate. I also value the security measures and the professionalism of the entire team. Most importantly, the owner’s commitment to keeping the daycare open whenever possible—understanding how challenging it can be for working parents to take time off or scramble for backup care—speaks volumes about the thoughtfulness and family-centered values of this place. This daycare is more than just childcare; it is a supportive, caring community. We are so thankful for everything they’ve done for our family and would highly recommend them to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and reliable environment for their children.
Shalaiyah CórdobaDec 21, 2025It’s taken me a while to write this review, because I am still so sad that I allowed my daughter to attend this daycare. My daughter started here when she was 6 months old. We were immediately concerned. My daughter was already enjoying tummy time and scooting around, but they only wanted to keep her strapped in a chair. They would prop her bottles. I truly believe that the teacher cared for my daughter but she did not have the supports she needed to care for the children. The back door to this place was always unlocked which is definitely a concern. My daughter flourished when we removed her from this place. Please do not take your young children here. They also have no understanding of how to handle breast milk. Save yourselves the heartache.
Jamesa EwingDec 15, 2025I am very pleased with the care that my son received at Holding Hands Day Care! My only regret is that he didn’t start there sooner. The only reason that we are leaving is because he is starting school this year. From day one the atmosphere was loving and caring. Not once did I feel worried when leaving my son so that I could go to work. He has learned so much. Ms. Venus and Ms. Sylvia are amazing! Thankful to my previous in home daycare provider that recommended this location. The entire team is amazing. Thank you Ms. Venus, Ms. Sylvia, Ms. Talat, and Ms. Leslie for caring for my son, you are all appreciated!!!!! ❤️
Faith FAug 26, 2024WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!!! I honestly cannot wait to bring my other future babies to such a loving and caring environment. The minute I came in I knew my daughter was going to be in great hands! I was super nervous because my baby was 2 and I was returning to work however we could not have made a better choice. I’ve made great bonds with all the teachers alongside with my daughter. Thank you so much holding hands for setting my daughter up for success! We could never tell you enough how grateful we are!
Alexis SmithAug 25, 2024You won’t find a better school than this. Daycare is unaffordable, especially here in Maryland. Not only is this place way less expensive than most, it’s much more of a school than it is a daycare. Talat is amazing, and the entire staff is extremely patient; I have a stubborn and rowdy child. To make matters worse, he broke his femur at a birthday party (trampoline park) and he was in a half-body cast for 2 months. Talat and I came up with a plan for his care in the meantime, and they allowed him to continue to attend here while taking extra precaution to make sure he was in a safe environment to heal, and they even moved one of the teachers to his classroom to take special care of him. They were very proactive with making sure that he was able to continue his class work curriculum, and they kept him engaged in the lessons. I have no complaints about this school, and if my son wasn’t starting public school right down the street from me this fall, he would definitely still be a student here.
Caleb GaryMay 15, 2024My son was registered at a school,I had to withdraw him because I wasn't pleased. I went online to check for other schools that would care for my son and not make him feel out of place. I read holding hands reviews and i decided to give them a call, this was a lifesaver. Ms Talat was very professional, patient, understanding, friendly and kind. The place was welcoming, the teachers and staffs were friendly and also had the atmosphere I wanted for my son to learn. I immediately registered my son, within few days Ms Talat recommended that my son should see a speech therapist, I was happy meaning she cares for the kids. Honestly I would recommend this daycare 💯. I saw positive personal improvements in my son and in his academics.

Questions parents ask about Holding Hands Daycare Center
Is Holding Hands Daycare Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. Holding Hands Daycare Center holds Maryland licence 1746217975571x787931862184655900, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to April 29, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about Holding Hands Daycare Center's standing?
- Maryland records Holding Hands Daycare Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Holding Hands Daycare Center licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 18 infant places and 15 school-age places for Holding Hands Daycare Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Holding Hands Daycare Center operate all year?
- Maryland records Holding Hands Daycare Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Holding Hands Daycare Center?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Holding Hands Daycare Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
