KNS has been a great community for my kids and family! We love the play based curriculum and appreciate the major focus on outside time. Both my boys never complain about having school— which is a good sign, in my opinion!

We are so glad we got to join its wonderful community, seen our son and all of his classmates grow together over the years and built friendships we hope to carry. Staff is caring, patient and creative. Our teachers have been amazing at nurturing our kid's curiosity and character!
Carine MuselMar 31, 2026KNS is a magical place. I attended from 1981-1984, and my sister from 1983-86. My own memories are hazy, but I stayed in touch with my teacher (Helen Rosenthal) and several of my KNS classmates all the way through college, and I'm still in touch with a few of them online.
Joel IamsDec 18, 2025My kids are now 16 and 14, and it’s been 12 years since they were at KNS. And yet, KNS remains incredibly dear to our hearts and in our memories — it is truly a remarkable, magical place for little kids (and parents, too). We had to cut the kids’ time at KNS short, because my husband got a promotion that required moving out of state. But we debated accepting the promotion at all, *just* because of how much the school meant to us. and every time we go back to Maryland to visit, we stop by so the kids can see their old preschool. It’s an amazing place. ❤️
Lucy BowmanDec 17, 2025STRONGLY recommend KNS to anyone looking for a co-op, play based preschool. My three boys (now all adults) all went there and loved it, and 25 YEARS LATER, our first co-op class is still my closest circle of friends.
