We have absolutely loved Kiddie Academy of Columbia! Before we came, our son had been to two other centers. Due to several red flags at each of those places, we decided to enroll him at KA and it was the best decision we could've made. While it is a bit more expensive than a lot of other options, you also get what you pay for. Lunch and snacks are provided each day, which is a lifesaver for me as a working mom with very little time at home to prep meals. All the staff are warm and friendly, yet wonderfully professional at the same time. And the center is also really clean and organized, which we appreciate, since that isn't the case everywhere. They take safety very seriously as well (ranging from front door policies all the way down to safe footwear), which I am glad for. I also appreciate how KA is very intentional about providing curriculum for our kids and helping them learn and have new experiences. It isn't just play without any instruction, but rather there's intentionality behind everything. Our son (3 years old) has absolutely loved it and our daughter (8 months) is thriving as well.
Emily HirataJul 2, 2026After reading countless reviews and researching numerous preschools, I ultimately decided on Kiddie Academy in Columbia—and I am so glad I did. As a mother, this was an especially emotional decision for me. My child had never been left anywhere without me since the day he was born—not even with grandparents. You can imagine how difficult it was for me to trust someone else with his care and take that first step of leaving him at school. From the very beginning, Audrey made the transition easier. She gave us a virtual tour of the school, which played a major role in our decision to enroll. Her calm demeanor, patience, and willingness to answer all of our questions helped put our minds at ease and made us feel welcomed and supported. We are also incredibly grateful for our child's teachers, Mrs. Afnan and Mr. Kyle. Mrs. Afnan has been an absolute delight and is truly one of the reasons our child is excited to go to school every day. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care have made such a meaningful impact on our 4-year-old's experience. Mr. Kyle brings so much fun and enthusiasm to the classroom. His playful personality and ability to connect with the children create an engaging and joyful learning environment. Our child loves being in their class and often comes home excited to share stories about his day. The entire team at Kiddie Academy has made what could have been a very difficult transition feel smooth, reassuring, and positive. Seeing our child happy, thriving, and eager to go to school each day has been the greatest gift. We are so thankful for Miss Audrey, Mrs. Afnan, Mr. Kyle, and everyone who has helped make our family's preschool journey such a wonderful experience.
seher AJun 16, 2026We are so grateful to Kiddie Academy for the wonderful care and support they have provided to our children. From day one, the teachers and staff have been caring, attentive, and dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our children have grown tremendously, both socially and academically, during their time here. We have always appreciated the open communication from the staff and the genuine love and patience they show each child. It gave us peace of mind knowing our kids were in such capable and caring hands every day. The classrooms are clean, organized, and filled with opportunities for learning and development. The teachers go above and beyond to make each child feel valued and supported. I highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a place where their children can learn, grow, and thrive :)
Fardous MekkiJun 11, 2026We have loved our experience at Kiddie Academy! Our son started when he was around 9 months old, he is 2 now, and has grown so much since he started. He comes home with new words that he has learned and surprises us daily. The staff and teachers are very helpful and welcoming! We are very happy with the care our son has gotten over the past year and a half. I would highly recommend!
Halle HigginsMar 2, 2026My son has been attending Kiddie Academy of Columbia for four months now and I am so impressed by the care he receives. His teachers are wonderfully warm and patient. All of my interactions with staff members have been fabulous. My partner and I are so grateful to know when we drop off our son he is in great hands.
Margot HallDec 19, 2025I had the privilege of performing at Kiddie Academy today. I’m at hundreds of schools a year and when I see a fantastic staff, I love to point it out. Alicia, the director was so welcoming, kind and made sure my transition with setting up my show was smooth. They’re seemed to be such a great camaraderie with the staff as they just had such a fun chemistry between them all where it seemed like they all enjoyed their job and working together. They all cheered and encouraged the volunteers I used and they added to the fun of the show and they definitely deserve every ⭐️ I can give them.

Questions parents ask about Kiddie Academy of Columbia
Is Kiddie Academy of Columbia a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. Kiddie Academy of Columbia holds Maryland licence 1746216800507x519937117543681800, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Howard County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to July 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about Kiddie Academy of Columbia's standing?
- Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Columbia's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Kiddie Academy of Columbia licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 6 infant places for Kiddie Academy of Columbia. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does this page show inspection results for Kiddie Academy of Columbia?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kiddie Academy of Columbia's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
