  • I had a number of concerns regarding the quality of service at the facility. The more I would bring the concerns to the administrator staff the more complaints they would bring regarding my child. My child’s teacher became overwhelmed with the children in her classroom resulting in emotional meltdowns which is concerning. I requested to speak with the owners of the facility and that request was never fulfilled.

  • We signed our daughter up for safe childcare as working parents. We've gotten so much more from Kiddie Academy: a nurturing environment, high quality education, best friends and teachers that are like family. As a professor I am impressed with the curriculum and the things my 3.5 year old knows - e.g. fish eat bioluminescence. We've grown through classrooms 6,1,2,3, and 4 and we've loved every teacher and staff member along the way. Kiddie Academy of Elkton is a hidden gem and we are so glad we found it!

  • I’ve had such a bad experience about this place. It was nice and good when they took you for a tour, but after that it’s totally the worst. They are low staff, they move your baby to another class room randomly, I will see all different teacher basically everyday. They hire a person to watch my baby without training one day I come pick up my baby, I asked her to make me a bottle for my baby, and she said I don’t know how to make it. Excuse me, the simple basic thing and you said you said you don’t know, plus she was playing on her phone and let my kid watching the phone with her. Sometimes there are more than the amount babies is should to be with the not enough teacher as is should. My baby felt non stop for the first months he been there, because some of the teacher is just sit on their butt most at the time and difficultly to stand up quickly or move around the watch the babies. They was using my baby crib to put all the kids with shoes on to take them outside for months if I don’t catch them one day when I drop stuffs off for him in the middle of the day. What the hell you think, that is the place my kids sleep on. They are daycare but they don’t understand the CARE meaning.

  • Kiddie academy has been great since we've started in March. Everything has been fine, that is until the new owners took over just recently and decided they wanted to all of a sudden switch copay rates and give me until the end of this month to start paying the new fees. I had an agreement this march with the previous owner. Adrienne, the new owner emailed me on Friday with the new copay rates, I emailed her back to discuss this matter, no reply. The next day I asked staff to call her to arrange a time that i could speak with her, no reply. I finally get an email back from her stating “You have been made aware that no other "agreement" outside of the 2024 Kiddie Academy Fee Agreement has been considered. If you are unable to pay the total amount due, you will need to withdraw both children from Kiddie Academy of Elkton on that date.“ This woman refuses to give me an option to pay more money than I do now but I can’t afford the price she’s asking. I’m a single mother of three kids, two of which attend here. This woman is horrible, she doesn’t have a heart, she doesn’t care about your kids, she just cares about money. This is crazy!

  • I love the educational child care service at Kiddie Academy. The teachers there are amazing and caring. Our son is in the 3 year old class with Ms. Jody and Ms. Niki at the Elkton center and he absolutely love them, as well as our family. I have seen improvements in his social interactions with other kids, speaking clearly and overall his behavior since we have been taking him there. We also love Melissa the director there. She is always welcoming, informative and helpful and just a nice person overall. Having our son attend school there for about 6 months, we would definitely recommend Kiddie academy to any parents.

Is Kiddie Academy of Elkton a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Kiddie Academy of Elkton holds Maryland licence 1746221808752x374972852818556540, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Cecil County. What does Maryland record about Kiddie Academy of Elkton's standing?

Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Elkton's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Kiddie Academy of Elkton licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 12 infant places and 15 school-age places for Kiddie Academy of Elkton. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Kiddie Academy of Elkton operate all year?

Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Elkton as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Kiddie Academy of Elkton?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kiddie Academy of Elkton's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
