Our son has been here almost a year and we have had the best experience. His teachers when he was in the infant room, Dia and Faiza, were so attentive, patient, and loving. They showed up every day to create a fun learning environment, making it easy to leave him when he was so young while I went to work. And now his current teachers in the toddler room, Vanessa, Brittany, Princess, Nita, Amira, and others, have all made the transition easy and continue to keep our son engaged and laughing every day. From day one, all of the staff at Kiddie Academy have made our family feel welcome and cared for, including Dino making nutritious meals for him to the front office staff always available for any questions big or small. We have complete peace of mind knowing he is in such loving, capable hands every day. We are incredibly grateful for the care and dedication of the entire team at Kiddie Academy.
Brianne Sparkman BinderJul 1, 2026We’ve had an absolutely wonderful experience at Kiddie Academy in Ellicott City! Our son has really blossomed since starting in the Toddler 2s room ~5 months ago and is continuing to thrive in the 2s room. In his first days there, his teachers in the Toddler 2s room worked really closely with him on the transition to daycare, his pronunciations and using utensils and they also gave us great tips for how to reinforce these skills at home. Now in the 2s room, his vocabulary has exploded and he’s a lot more independent (with washing his hands, taking off his shoes, cleaning up) which has again been so helpful at home. I can also see from his pictures and videos during the day that he’s really engaged in all the different activities they provide! All of the staff have been incredible to work with, including both the teachers and everyone in the front office. They’re all extremely detail oriented and the communication has been perfect. On two occasions when our son has been out for medical reasons, his teachers still called me during the day to see how he was doing. You can tell they truly care about all of the kids there and each morning is special as they greet all of the kids as they come in the door. Ms Malika, the director, has a really warm, wonderful, fun energy that is absolutely contagious. (Last but not least, Kiddie Academy is also immaculately clean and beautiful. All of the rooms have a ton of natural light, are brightly colored and smell wonderful.)
Perrye OgunwoleJul 1, 2026My Son was little over 2 years when he started. He could bearly say a 2 clear words. He was still babbling. We were concerned. Within a month , he was talking with much more words. Now he is telling us fun facts, using big words appropriate. Correcting his grandparents English .... We also had challenges potty training but kiddie Academy got that done. With patience, collaborating with us was help. My son now counts, writes, doing early math addition, reading.. We couldn't have done anything with his teachers... They shaped his mind to be independent ( he wears his shoes except if it has laces, brushes his teeth, changes his clothes ...), tough and trust he can speak up for himself. They were patient, firm when needed, nurturing and loving. Just like another set of parents. The pictures sent through out the day really kept my at peace. We can't thank everyone enough from Ms Malika... whom we fell in love with from the get...she made us feel welcome and is always accessible no matter what. To our first teacher Ms Farida. She is dedicated, consistent, kind, organized, structured and objective in her approach. Her technique worked with my Son. She was loving all at the same time. She prioritize hygiene, and it wasnt easy then with constant viral infections, Covid,... but we comfortable because we knew he was in good hands. She got him to be comfortable with face masks. He moved to Ms Sheila class, he was nervous initially but gradually built a family he still till this day goes to back to his old class. He found his artist side and is constantly trying to make or paint something. My walls can testify. In her lass he became less shy and expressed himself more. To Ms Amara's class: learnt to read, write, become more independent. Some many others thats names haven't been mentioned thats have help shaped him, Ms Jenny, Ms Bono... Mr Dan that teaches self defense.. Or summer thats packed with Stem activities, to time when they learnt spanish, he is excited about coding. He can count to 10 confidently now in Spanish. There teaches are phenomenal.. Trust me. It has been a wonderful experience and amazing journey. Its a worthwhile investment for our family. We are so grateful to kiddie Academy Ellicott branch. They are family now. And we have made life time connections. We are going to preK . We are so sad to leave but its to a new chapter. We are grateful for this foundation.
bll aaahJun 29, 2026As a student in college learning to work with children, this is by far the place that I have had the best experiences in. Their classrooms are well organized and great for development. The teachers like Mrs.Lin and Mrs.Erin are fantastic and very accommodating. I highly recommend having your children learn here or if you are a fellow student, they are great with implementing any observation time or student teaching!
Adriana BarriosApr 23, 2026Our son joined KA in Ellicott City for his first classroom experience, and in such a short amount of time we have seen a huge improvement in his speech, social, and emotional skills. From the moment you enter the building, you are warmly greeted by the wonderful administrators who know every student by name and are always available to help. They played an important role in helping our son transition smoothly into a school environment when he first began. Also, it’s always a delight stopping by their office to have a friendly chat! Ms. Aryne and Ms. Linh have been remarkable teachers. They are incredibly patient and caring with their students and have worked closely with us to focus on areas where our son needed extra support. They have created such a fun, welcoming, and nurturing classroom environment. Our son feels very comfortable with his teachers, and as parents we are so happy to see him thriving under their care. Seriously, they are awesome!! Another thing we truly appreciate is the cleanliness of the facility. The classrooms are very well maintained, and there is a clear emphasis on hygiene for both students and staff. We happily recommend KAE.
Faryal BhattiMar 13, 2026We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Kiddie Academy in Ellicott City. Our daughter had never been in a school setting before and has always struggled in new environments, so we were very nervous about how she would adjust. From the start, the environment felt welcoming, inviting, and nurturing, yet structured and organized. The teachers are incredibly patient, kind, and supportive. They immediately understood her difficulty with transitions and gave her the one-on-one attention she needed until she felt safe and comfortable. They were quick to identify her needs and worked thoughtfully to help her assimilate into the classroom. The growth we’ve seen has been amazing. Within just a week, she started going potty independently (a miracle for us!). She has become more organized with her toys and books at home, follows routines better, and shows so much more confidence. Most importantly, she now thrives. She is genuinely happy and excited to go to school every day. She talks about her teachers and friends with joy and has truly found her little tribe at Kiddie Academy. We are so grateful for the nurturing yet structured environment teachers and staffs at Kiddie provide. They has helped our daughter grow and flourish in ways we didn’t imagine possible. 💛

Questions parents ask about Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City
Is Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City holds Maryland licence 1746209922989x239832548538259070, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Howard County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to March 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City's standing?
- Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 6 infant places and 26 school-age places for Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City operate all year?
- Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kiddie Academy of Ellicott City's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
