  • I would not recommend Kiddie Academy based on my family’s experience. My son was treated in ways that left me feeling unsupported and concerned, and I had multiple issues throughout his time there. Ms. Rene was, unfortunately, one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful administrators I’ve encountered. She rarely greeted parents, made me feel unwelcome, and consistently dismissed my concerns instead of addressing them professionally. I never felt like my son’s well-being was a priority. There were several incidents that raised serious concerns for me. My son’s jacket went missing, someone took his water bottle, they put him out of school for a day for having a running nose they claimed it was “ green “ but I took him to urgent care which I had doctors notes that they did the mucus suction and he was cleared and it was certainly not green and they still denied him and didn’t offer no compensation towards the days he had to miss. I was disappointed by how these situations were handled. I also questioned the educational experience. While pictures were regularly posted of the children coloring and completing activities, I often felt they weren’t being encouraged to do the work independently. I was so concerned that I requested a meeting with the owner to discuss everything that had been happening. I truly hoped that after our meeting, things would improve. Unfortunately, I did not see meaningful changes. It felt like employees were not being held accountable, despite the concerns that were raised. As a parent, that was extremely disappointing. It was so bad he started April 6th,2026 and I unenrolled him July 24th,2026. Another concern was the limited camera access. The viewing time was reduced to two 10-minute sessions, which made me feel there was very little transparency. At a point I had no access to the cameras and they told me my son was acting up and I asked to see the cameras they verbatim told me that they are not allowed to show me due to their cameras having sound and to save every party. As a parent, I believe accountability and open communication are essential when trusting others to care for your child. The one bright spot during our experience was Ms. April. She is an incredible teacher who genuinely cares about the children. She was kind, patient, professional, and always made me feel like my son mattered. She deserves recognition and, in my opinion, a raise. She was the only person who consistently made me feel confident that my child was being cared for. Overall, my experience with this location was extremely disappointing. Every family’s experience may be different, but based on mine, I cannot recommend Kiddie Academy. I hope the administration begins listening to parents, holding staff accountable, and making meaningful improvements for the children and families they serve

  • We have had a wonderful experience at Kiddie Academy Lanham. From the moment we walked in, I felt confident that this was the right place for my child. Ms. Renee and Ms. P are true professionals who genuinely care about the children. Ms. Renee's warm and welcoming personality stands out every single day. She greets each child with a smile in the morning and says goodbye in the afternoon, all while remembering every child's name. That personal touch speaks volumes about how much she loves and values the children in her care. The staff creates a nurturing, safe, and positive environment where children feel loved and families feel welcomed. I'm so grateful we chose Kiddie Academy Greenbelt and highly recommend it to any parent looking for quality childcare.

  • My wife and I transitioned our two kids here after we moved and they were amazing. They made space for my children to go there and they made sure they got accustomed to their new environment. Definitely would recommend to parent.

  • This academy is awesome. They practically raised me to adulthood and now that I’ve enrolled my kids here is just a full circle moment. Teachers and administrative staff are amazing.

  • @kia gibson that sounds like a threat to one of the teachers, may thats why your child can’t stop being violent to other kids focus on that instead of getting online justifying bad behavior. I am sure if you could afford it you would have a nanny. I am glad to say my experience with my child in Ms Shantelll rooms was the total opposite she even taught my baby to read . I have never had any issues with the cameras so I can’t speak on that my child was never mistreated or abused by her teachers, she looks forward to going to school. If your fear there is abuse in blind spots maybe its a blessing your child is no longer there.

  • As a first time mom this experience had its ups and downs. Although I’ve crossed paths with a few good educators at KA, management here is horrible. They rather continue to allow a teacher who’s has multiple instances of putting her hands on children (Ms.Shantell) in blind spots of cameras than to work with a family who was willing to work at home and school with their child who’s having a hard time with biting. Super unprofessional how (Ms.Renee) told me out of her own mouth that my daughter wouldn’t be removed from the program because of her biting habit then two weeks later get a phone call that my daughter is disenrolled. When two out of three teachers are either never in the classroom or always sitting down. These are 2 year olds you need to be present and alert. Nevertheless, If you’re a parent who’s specific about how you want your child to be treated and cared for this is not the daycare for you. They also have cameras and numerous of times I’ve had to call about how a staff was tugging on my child. They’re use to parents just dropping their child off and being ok with whatever the teacher/center presents. No way you’re telling me you’re in a class who’s introducing 2 years olds to potty training and they’re only being taken to the bathroom every hour. Licensing should revoke half of their staff certifications from the owner on down. I also think that people in certain professions forget that they have to see people outside of their 9-5 jobs :)

What does Maryland record about Kiddie Academy of Lanham's standing?

Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Lanham's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Kiddie Academy of Lanham licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 9 infant places and 15 school-age places for Kiddie Academy of Lanham. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Kiddie Academy of Lanham operate all year?

Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Lanham as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Kiddie Academy of Lanham?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kiddie Academy of Lanham's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
