My daughter attended here from age 5 through 12, including CampVentures, and we’ve had such a wonderful experience. The play-based learning kept her engaged and helped build confidence and a love for learning. The teachers are nurturing, patient, and truly care, and the admin team is always welcoming and supportive. They also took the time to understand my daughter’s sickle cell needs and made sure she was always cared for and supported. She was treated like family, not just a student. I’m truly grateful for the safe, loving environment they provided over the years.
Tanya PostJun 21, 2026The director and teachers are always ready to listen to our concerns as parents, and the level of patience they demonstrate when giving explanation is topnotch. Also, professionalism is not overlooked at KAU. It is seen at all levels, both teaching and non-teaching staff, of KAU.
Ekow HayfordJun 18, 2026We had an incredible experience at KAU. The staff is personable, kind and loving. My little ones look forward to going there. As a parent it means the world to know your littles ones are in safe loving hands. The educational program there is fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough !!
andrea ahounouJun 12, 2026We’ve had such a positive experience with this facility, and I especially want to recognize the care that goes into both, the activities and the meals. At first, I was a bit concerned about whether my child would eat well here (he was not used to self-eating), & he can be picky at times. But, now, he not only finishes everything on his plate, but he actually looks forward to mealtime. He even comes home talking about the dishes and once told me that Ms. Khalida makes "very yummy" pasta & pizza, which says a lot! It’s clear that a lot of care and thought go into preparing meals that are both tasty and appealing to kids. (Win for me- vegetarian food). I also really appreciate the engaging activities planned throughout the day. There’s a great balance of learning, creativity, and play, and I can see how much my child is growing and enjoying himself. A special thank you to Ms. Adriana and Ms. Anjana; they are warm, attentive, and truly dedicated. It’s clear they care deeply about the children and create a nurturing, positive environment. Knowing that my child is happy, engaged, and eating well gives me real peace of mind. Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job!
Alisha AggarwalMar 31, 2026We started our child at KAU when they were 3 years old, and overall we’ve had a very positive experience. We love the program, the teachers, and the environment they’ve created for the kids. One thing that really stands out is the team that Ms. Connie has built. The teachers and administrative staff are very responsive and communicate extremely well with each other. We previously attended two other daycare centers, and the difference here is noticeable. At many places the admin team and teachers feel disconnected and messages don’t always get across. That is definitely not the case at KAU. Communication is clear and everyone seems aligned around supporting the children. There are also several thoughtful features that parents appreciate. They offer limited but helpful credits for vacation days, and I really like their menu. It’s clear that they make an effort to provide healthier food options and minimize overly processed or sugary items. Another feature we appreciate is that the school has cameras and provides detailed daily reports through Tadpoles, which helps parents stay informed about their child’s day. My child is now in the Pre-K class, and I’m impressed with the program. The structure and preparation give me confidence that my child will be more than ready for kindergarten. I also like that Soccer Shots are offered at this location, which is a fun and convenient activity for the kids. Another thing I really value is the relatively low turnover among the main teachers. While floaters may rotate every few months, the primary and secondary teachers tend to stay consistent. That stability has allowed my child to build meaningful relationships with teachers and feel comfortable at school. If I try hard to find something to complain about, I would personally prefer a bit more outdoor time. Some Montessori-style schools go outside daily regardless of the weather. At the same time, I understand that KAU follows a different educational philosophy, and I respect that approach. We also had a slightly rough start when a teacher and a floater were not aware of our child’s potty-training status. Situations like that make me think floaters could benefit from a bit more training or clearer communication when they step into a classroom. Overall, we’ve been very happy with KAU and are grateful for the care, stability, and preparation they provide for our child. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to families looking for a supportive and well-run daycare program.
Galina GoncharovaMar 5, 2026Kiddie Academy of Urbana has taken exceptional care of our little one. The teachers consistently remain calm, caring and patient which is especially important in the infant rooms. They dont seem to only work together as colleagues but similarly to a family not just in the classroom but throughout the organization. I can tell the teachers care for the babies not just as part of a group but as individuals with little developing personalities. The comments we receive about day to day interactions, attention to changes in his norms, and even their excitement to milestones reached makes me feel relieved that they are part of our cohesive team. As a first time parent, it's terrifying to have to rely on someone outside of yourself to care for your baby. This establishment makes that action a much easier and welcome collaboration. Our son has been thriving and developing at such an impressive rate and I know the academy has a significant role to play in continuing to be responsive to his needs while nurturing his talent. We are very impressed with how things are going thus far and are excited to continue letting him grow within the academy.

What does Maryland record about Kiddie Academy of Urbana's standing?
- Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Urbana's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Kiddie Academy of Urbana licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 12 infant places and 10 school-age places for Kiddie Academy of Urbana. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Kiddie Academy of Urbana operate all year?
- Maryland records Kiddie Academy of Urbana as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Kiddie Academy of Urbana?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Kiddie Academy of Urbana's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
