  • This was my first time at Lake Arbor Community Center and I found it to be very clean, the staff was very friendly, polite and most helpful and I found the flow of the building to be very assessable

  • Goodness, went to check see if they had a workout room this morning. Very weird energy and bad customer service. No one was smiling, the ladies at the front desk had very nasty attitudes. Not helpful at all and the man at the front desk kept yelling " are you here to pay" I explained I was just wanted to sign in a checkout the workout room. The one bright spot was there was one gentleman that gave me some information I asked for, but was then interupted by the woman with the nasty attitude. What a way to start a morning.

  • This is my 1st visit here for a funeral repast. The center was very clean, including restrooms. The staff at the front desk was friendly and informative. Plenty of parking.

  • My husband and I are paying members of the community center. We work out here and use the gym 4x a week. There have been multiple instances where I have had to use the restroom but was turned away by staff because a child or multiple children are using the bathroom. The staff acts as bodyguards to these children. I understand wanting to keep the kids safe and the staff being liable for any issues. However, as a PAYING member, I (along with any other adult) should be entitled to use the restroom as needed. There is an entire school with multiple bathrooms attached to this center. Why are the children not taken to the school to use the bathrooms? The instant of being denied entry to the bathroom today, was an emergency. I told the staff I would just leave because apparently “a group of kids” was using the bathroom. This was the last straw for myself and my husband. Once our 3 months we paid for is up, we will be switching to a legitimate gym where anyone is free to use a bathroom at any time.

Questions parents ask about Lake Arbor Community Center

Is Lake Arbor Community Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Lake Arbor Community Center holds Maryland licence 1746219750389x118499982904563000, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Prince George's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to September 30, 2026. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Lake Arbor Community Center's standing?

Maryland records Lake Arbor Community Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Lake Arbor Community Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 76 school-age places for Lake Arbor Community Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Lake Arbor Community Center operate all year?

Maryland records Lake Arbor Community Center as a "School Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Lake Arbor Community Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Lake Arbor Community Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
