I am finally getting around to making a review of this daycare! My daughter started here when since was 3 months old, and only left at 19 months due to us moving and being able to utilize family for child care. As most parents, I cried the first day I brought my daughter in. I was scared and nervous. I ended up crying on her last day because I didn't want her to leave. Parker was so incredibly loved, cared for, and attended to at this daycare. Every single one of her teachers was so kind, caring, and helpful. I could tell that the staff truly love these kids. They did fun activities, plenty of outside time, cute events and crafts, and educational items as well. Parker thrived at this daycare and I still miss it, even though she's about to turn 2. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy childcare. Thank you to all the staff that ever watched Parker. We miss you!!
Tracy BowenJul 7, 2025My son loved coming to school here. Thank you Ms. Amy, Ms. Jamie and Mr. Charlie for making this a fun and educational environment.
Charmaine RostienJun 20, 2022Our son, who just turned five, has been at Play & Learn since he was an infant. So much of his life has taken place there, and we can't say enough good things about the loving care and attention he's received. He amazes us every day with the wide variety of skills he's accumulated, ranging from reading, writing, math, and science to good manners and all-around skills for daily life. My husband and I are constantly marveling, "Where on Earth did he learn that?!!!" Our son's answer is always the same... "I learned it at school!" 💕
Sara AnzelmoMay 26, 2021For the last 4 years PAL has been a second home to my child. She is always safe, happy and eager to return. During the pandemic things have been safe and the staff have been professional and prepared.
Daisy RedMay 25, 2021I would give it more stars if I could. We had our 2 kids going to P&L Annapolis right up until the start of the pandemic (from infancy up to our eldest was 4 years old). Our kids loved their teachers and their daycare, and you can tell that the teachers genuinely cared about each kid and did their best to make sure each kid is flourishing. The teachers and administrators are incredible. Their holiday shows were always so sweet. All the seasonal activities were educational, adorable and fun! They did the cutest things for each holiday. Also, their outdoor playgrounds (there are 2, separated by age) are just perfect for fun and imaginative play! It's shaded and large enough for the kids top be able to run around and play. My kids loved being outside and playing there. Now, I am a big-time worrier but when my kids were at P&L, I didn't have to worry if they were being taken care of. My kids always came home happy and full of stories. The daycare lives up to it's name. Our kids learned so much but also had an awesome time just playing and being kids. They kids would come home and teach ME things! My kids miss their friends and the teachers a ton. The only reason our kids haven't gone back to the daycare yet, is because we live about 40 minutes away and my husbands job is still doing work from home (Daycare was close to his job). But 100 %- once my husband can return to work, we will for sure go back to P&L.
Beata Kaminski-HoltzMay 24, 2021Play and Learn has been Proficient and Professional every step of the way since we have been taking our child there. The staff is Amazing and they show the children so much Love and Attention. They make sure that the facility well ran, protected and thoroughly sanitized during this pandemic. It's not just daycare. They have set a high standard for our children to learn basic curriculum before becoming preschoolers. This facility and its staff are Highly Favored and Recommended and we are more than happy we have found them. Their value for the children's well being is remarkable so for anyone in the future looking for a safe haven for their child this is it.

Questions parents ask about Play and Learn at Annapolis
Is Play and Learn at Annapolis a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. Play and Learn at Annapolis holds Maryland licence 1746222674670x335338464671168800, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Anne Arundel County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to May 31, 2028. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about Play and Learn at Annapolis's standing?
- Maryland records Play and Learn at Annapolis's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is Play and Learn at Annapolis licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 18 infant places for Play and Learn at Annapolis. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does Play and Learn at Annapolis operate all year?
- Maryland records Play and Learn at Annapolis as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.
Does this page show inspection results for Play and Learn at Annapolis?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Play and Learn at Annapolis's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
