  • We love Rock Spring. Our son has been there since he was four months old, and our experience has been wonderful. The staff-to-student ratio is much better than at other daycares we looked at, and he has truly loved his teachers. Every morning when we drop him off, he’s excited to see them and happy to be there, which says everything. Sending such a young child to daycare can feel scary, but the staff made the transition much easier for us. One thing we especially appreciate is that they always have floaters available to step in when a teacher is absent, and these are full-time staff members—not temporary fill-ins—so there’s never a concern about being understaffed. It’s also clear that the teachers are treated well. There’s very little turnover, which says a lot about the environment, and it creates a sense of consistency and strong morale throughout the program. The facilities are always clean and modern, and the playground is great—with plenty of shade, which we really appreciate. Even though the building is in an office park, they’ve created a warm and welcoming environment inside. I would highly recommend Rock Spring to anyone considering childcare for their child.

  • Rockspring children's center has exceeded expectations for our family. The organization employs highly qualified teachers who really care about the kids and are very thoughtful in meeting each child's needs. We transitioned to RSCC, and while transitions are always hard for kids, the staff made it as smooth as possible and my kids developed close relationships with the staff very quickly. RSCC keeps families and staff for a long time, so the environment is very friendly and they manage to feel like a small center. So happy we made the change to RSCC!

  • There are quite literally not enough words to describe how much we love and appreciate every aspect of this center. When you are looking for a center, if the administrative staff is beyond communicative, if teachers love your child as they love their own, and if the energy that seeps forth boasts of creativity and engagement at all times, you know you’ve found the perfect place, and that place is Rock Spring Children’s Center. It’s hard enough knowing that you have to leave your child over the course of a day, but to know that you have the best care possible for your child during the day helps alleviate so much of that stress. The Center does not just say they love children, what they want to do to improve or how the work aligns with the mission, but they show EACH of these things, with intention, every single day. And while I’m talking about the overall feel and experience of the center, there are so many additions that really take it to the next level. The offerings of ballet, karate, an amazing plyometrics program, and music, all of it offered from phenomenal external entities as a formal class that help keep your weekends, a little more open. And for more ease, if you struggle to pack lunch every day, a catered lunch option is available. There is differentiated instruction that allows for all students to feel safe and seen. And did I mention the engagement and love of teachers, and administration? The list goes on. TLDR: There will never be a center as phenomenal as Rock Spring Children’s Center!

  • If you’re searching for a childcare center that truly goes above and beyond, Rock Springs Children Center is it. From day one, I’ve been blown away by the incredible teachers who pour so much care, patience, and love into every child—they’ve made such a lasting impact on my 5-year-old. What really sets them apart is the experience they create. We’re not just talking about daycare—this is a place where kids thrive. Between fun-filled field trips to strawberry and pumpkin patches, unforgettable moments like their Halloween parade, holiday concert, and even a full graduation ceremony, they make childhood magical. The curriculum is strong, engaging, and constantly evolving—with added programs like soccer, ballet, and karate that keep kids excited to learn and grow. And as a parent, I feel completely connected thanks to regular updates and photos through their app—it’s such a comfort to see my son happy and progressing every day. Oh—and let’s not forget, they even cater meals and snacks from great restaurants! It’s those extra touches that show how much they truly care. Rock Springs isn’t just a center—it’s a community, a memory-maker, and a place where children flourish. I couldn’t recommend it more!

  • I can’t recommend Rock Spring Children’s Center enough. The location is incredibly convenient—right off 270 and 495—which makes daily drop-offs and pickups so much easier. The classrooms are bright, engaging, and thoughtfully designed, and the entire school is consistently clean and well maintained. The four large outdoor play areas are a huge plus and give the kids plenty of space to explore and stay active. What truly sets this school apart is the staff. The teacher turnover is remarkably low, with many teachers staying anywhere from 5 to 30 years. That kind of longevity really speaks to the positive environment and dedication of the team. The teachers genuinely love the children and are deeply invested in their well-being. The play-based curriculum is another standout feature. It’s carefully designed to support not just academics, but also the social and emotional development of each child as they grow. Rock Spring has been a meaningful part of our family’s support system for the past nine years. More than anything, we felt supported as parents throughout the journey, which made such a huge difference to us. Both of my children thrived here—and so did we. As a nonprofit, the school also fosters a strong, welcoming community. My son graduated and went on to MCPS well ahead of his peers. My daughter, who will be graduating soon, is more than ready for kindergarten, academically and emotionally. This school has truly provided our kids with such a loving childhood experience! We will forever be thankful!

  • Our daughter is thriving at RSCC! She wakes up every morning and literally can't wait to go to school. She is supported every day by caring teachers in a welcoming space. They spend a lot of time outdoors in one of their several awesome playgrounds (nestled in a quiet office park, not on a main road), which I believe is important for kids. I lose track of the many special activities the school offers - nearly one every single day. And about those teachers? The school has a ridiculously low turnover rate because they treat the teachers well -- that's the secret to creating a stable and positive learning community. So glad we found RSCC.

Questions parents ask about Rock Spring Children's Center

Is Rock Spring Children's Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Rock Spring Children's Center holds Maryland licence 1746225113815x341157103010798460, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Montgomery County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to September 30, 2026. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Rock Spring Children's Center's standing?

Maryland records Rock Spring Children's Center's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Rock Spring Children's Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 28 infant places and 18 school-age places for Rock Spring Children's Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Rock Spring Children's Center operate all year?

Maryland records Rock Spring Children's Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Rock Spring Children's Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Rock Spring Children's Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
