  • I highly recommend this day care. Having moved from out of state and going back to work, finding a place where I can feel confident my child was taken care of was important. I found them on google and decided to check them out. I was sold on my first impression. Everyone there is friendly. Ms. Alcira, her parents, and her staff took great care of my daughter and my daughter enjoyed being there. She was always busy with arts and crafts, learning, and summer outings. It was bittersweet for us to have to end their services due to my child starting school in another county. I will always be grateful for their care!

  • Small Wonders has become like a second home to me and my family. For almost three years, we have been a part of this wonderful community and I couldn't be happier. My children have developed strong bonds with their peers and have grown in so many ways. The teachers have been exceptional in their communication with me, always keeping me informed about my children's progress and well-being. I feel grateful to be a part of such a caring and supportive environment. Thank you so much for all you do!

  • My child has been here since she was 6 months old. This is a well run, family oriented center. The teachers are kind and honest. The location is very clean, and most importantly, my child loves her teachers and the kids she plays with.

  • My daughter has been going to this daycare since she was 6 months old. She is now 5 years old and begs to go after school, they also offer a school bus too and from her school which is really helpful. They have fun activities for the children during summer and winter breaks, they even take them on field trips from the zoo to the movies. Everyone is so friendly and caring there. She absolutely loves it!

  • Affordable, Dependable and Reliable. My 9-year-old twins love this daycare.. The staff and owner are very friendly. I have a piece of mind when I leave them in the mornings to go to work. Knowing that their in a caring and safe environment means so much. This family owned child care center has invested quality time to get to know my children and understand their needs. The owner and his daughter has been a positive male role model in my son's life and help him to understand right from wrong. Although he struggles with behavior and learning; they've remained vigilant and patient. I appreciate their business...

  • My son has been with Small Wonders since he was 2. I couldn't have asked for anymore from a daycare. They were so attentive to his needs, and very respectful and caring. One thing I hate about some daycares is that they run like an institution and rub rules and procedures in your face all the time (my older daughter's day care was like that, I hated it!). Small Wonders never made me feel that I was dealing with a system. Their human approach makes me feel like they actually care about my son. And I don't feel anxious leaving him. He is now 4 and a half and will leave for kindergarten this year. I couldn't be more sad that this is his last year here. They have been a family to me for the last 2+ years!!

Questions parents ask about Small Wonders Child Care

Is Small Wonders Child Care a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Small Wonders Child Care holds Maryland licence 1746218358194x623842843466092300, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Montgomery County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to September 30, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

What does Maryland record about Small Wonders Child Care's standing?

Maryland records Small Wonders Child Care's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.

How many children is Small Wonders Child Care licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 4 infant places and 28 school-age places for Small Wonders Child Care. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Small Wonders Child Care operate all year?

Maryland records Small Wonders Child Care as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Small Wonders Child Care?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Small Wonders Child Care's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
