  • Our son attended Stepping Stone from age 2 to 4, and we are truly grateful for the care and support he received during these important early years. The teachers were consistently warm, patient, and attentive. We were always kept informed about daily activities, milestones. We also noticed meaningful growth in his language, social interaction, and early learning skills during his time there. We would highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a caring and supportive environment for their child.

  • Our family has been part of Stepping Stones for the past 6 years with 2 children, and we’ve made so many wonderful memories along the way. We’ve watched our kids learn, grow and build friendships in a supportive environment. We especially want to recognize Ms. Jordyn and Ms. April. Our 2 year old son was having a difficult time with drop-offs, not long after they joined his class things changed; he started asking to go to school in the mornings. They consistently show kindness, patience, and genuine care for every child. They have built trusting relationships with the entire class and created a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and love. As parents, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is in the hands of people who truly care. Thank you, Ms. Jordyn and Ms. April, for all that you do. Your impact on our son and our family has meant so much to us.

  • We have absolutely loved our experience here, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about our son’s teachers and the entire staff. From day one, his teachers have been incredibly warm, caring, and genuinely invested in each child. It’s clear how much they love what they do and that energy shows in the way they connect with the kids. Communication has always been excellent. We’re consistently kept in the loop about our son’s day, his progress, and anything important going on, which brings so much peace of mind as a parent. Most importantly, we’ve watched our son truly learn and thrive here. He’s grown not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, and that speaks volumes about the environment they’ve created. The center itself is always clean, organized, and welcoming. You can tell there’s pride in maintaining a safe and healthy space for the children. I also want to highlight the supporting staff—they are just as warm, caring, and communicative. Every interaction we’ve had has been positive, and it really feels like a team that works together to support both the kids and the families. We genuinely love this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing, engaging, and supportive daycare environment.

  • As a first-time mom, leaving my baby in someone else's care was incredibly difficult — but Ms. Shelly, Ms. Hope, Ms. Kay, and Ms. Asia, have made all the difference! They are warm, welcoming, and made the transition as smooth as it could possibly be. Throughout the day, they send photos of Giulia whether she's working on an art project, out on an outdoor adventure, or simply lounging in Pooh's Corner with her friends. The atmosphere at Stepping Stones is vibrant and engaging — from spirit weeks and holiday events to adorable "school" photos. All of this together makes dropping Giulia off just a little bit easier.

  • This review is long overdue! My daughter has been at Stepping Stones for a little over a year now and I have to say that I have never felt such love and care while she was there. Their staff truly knows your family and leans in, in every possible aspect that they can. The owners provide the upmost care and I truly feel like family when I walk through the doors. I was a mom who did not want to put her child in daycare but when push comes to shove, we definitely made the right move and I can say that whole heartedly. My daughter has advanced so much while being at Stepping Stones and has fun with her friends and the staff everyday! Thank you SS for being apart of my daughter's life, toddlerhood and development!

  • Since joining in late 2024, Stepping Stone has been a wonderful fit for our family. The hours and amenities make life as a working parent so much easier, but it’s the staff that truly sets them apart. Our daughter, who is typically shy, has absolutely blossomed under Ms. Madi’s care. Ms. Madi is kind, creative, and plans such an engaging curriculum that our daughter even asks to go to school on the weekends! We especially appreciate how she eases our "parental worry" by sending frequent photos and thoughtful notes through the app. We are so grateful to the owners and directors for their continuous improvements and for hiring teachers like Ms. Madi that make SUCH a difference.

Questions parents ask about Stepping Stone Children's Center

Is Stepping Stone Children's Center a licensed child care provider in Maryland?

Yes. Stepping Stone Children's Center holds Maryland licence 1746221862612x922657805587374700, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Queen Anne's County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to October 31, 2027. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.

How many children is Stepping Stone Children's Center licensed for?

Maryland's record lists 33 infant places and 22 school-age places for Stepping Stone Children's Center. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.

Does Stepping Stone Children's Center operate all year?

Maryland records Stepping Stone Children's Center as a "Full Year" programme. That is the schedule on the licence record rather than a timetable, so confirm term dates and closures with the provider.

Does this page show inspection results for Stepping Stone Children's Center?

No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects Stepping Stone Children's Center's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
