Don’t answer calls or respond to emails. Would hate to have a child here and can’t get through for an emergency.
Tee RJun 10, 2026My child and I have been at Epicenter since we have moved to the area and we love it! As a parent of a special needs child they have shown my child all of the love and supports she needs while also having great communication about her day. We love Mrs. Lydia and Courtney and Mr. Sam and my sweet girl LOVES going there daily 💜💜💜
Tenika DavisOct 28, 2024I love the zone at epicenter! My daughter has ADHD and anxiety so it can be hard for her to leave me but she has no problems going to the zone every morning (besides fighting me to wake up) they are aware of her anxiety and special needs and how her BIG feelings can cause her to have behavioral issues. I always have a positive report and she doesn't express issues with any of the teachers and loves talking to them . She's even close to the bus driver who does transportation to and from school. Its disheartening to read such negative comments about such a great program I love all the staff at the zone and they have always been so helpful and I have no problems reaching out to them for questions. For a child that has problems sitting still she is kept active .
Elizabeth JakubacOct 28, 2024The teachers and staff are wonderful. My daughter enjoys going and loves the activities. It keeps her busy before and after school. I am grateful to have a safe place to bring my child for before and after care as well as summer camp.
Lisa TaylorOct 28, 2024It is with great disappointment that I share an experience regarding the exclusion of children with special needs from field trips and other activities at this camp. As a firm believer in inclusivity and the protection of children's mental, physical, and emotional well-being, I find it deeply concerning that the camp's actions contradict its stated values. It is disheartening to witness a situation where a child is emotionally let down due to exclusion. Regardless of the nature of the disability, the morally responsible course of action would have been for the camp to accommodate the child's needs, even if it meant involving the parent. I urge you to carefully consider the ethical implications of such actions and the potential impact on both the affected child and the reputation of the camp. Even if your child does not have special needs, it is essential to evaluate the camp's approach to inclusivity and its commitment to fostering a supportive environment for all children.
Lyni ChristopherSep 27, 2024It's wild. You chose a picture that says it's for everyone when clearly those are not your actual values! Shame on your company for turning away autistic children! Shame on you for being a stain on their childhood for being another reason they feel different or left out. SHAME!

Questions parents ask about The Epicenter at Aberdeen
Is The Epicenter at Aberdeen a licensed child care provider in Maryland?
- Yes. The Epicenter at Aberdeen holds Maryland licence 1746209962971x473262419771825600, listed as "CONTINUING - FULL" by the Office of Child Care, Maryland State Department of Education in Harford County. The licence is recorded as Continuing - Full, running to October 31, 2026. Confirm current standing with the Office of Child Care before enrolling.
What does Maryland record about The Epicenter at Aberdeen's standing?
- Maryland records The Epicenter at Aberdeen's status as "In Good Standing". That is a single status field in a snapshot, not a compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. Maryland publishes inspection findings separately at checkccmd.org and they are not included here.
How many children is The Epicenter at Aberdeen licensed for?
- Maryland's record lists 30 school-age places for The Epicenter at Aberdeen. Those are the only two age bands this dataset publishes, so they are not a total capacity and do not describe toddler or preschool places. Ask the provider for its full licensed capacity.
Does this page show inspection results for The Epicenter at Aberdeen?
- No. Maryland inspects licensed child care programmes and publishes the results through Check Child Care Maryland at checkccmd.org. Those reports are not included here, so nothing on this page reflects The Epicenter at Aberdeen's inspection history either way. This page's record comes from Maryland Family Network's LOCATE service, which carries licence and status data rather than inspection findings.
